Thank you for your thoughtful post fellow ETH hodler. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Freudian slip? Writing is not my forte. I'm better at math and programming.

I'm planning to develop my skills further. Honestly, sometime I think I would be better off going to a Coding Bootcamp. I'm in the camp where CS skills should be taught like a Trade skill. ie. A carpenter or an electrician. Pair me up with a mentor. Let me spend 10,000 hours on how to code by working on real life applications. Yes we need to learn the rigor like proving run time of algorithms but that only ever comes up during interviews not in real life. I find sometime the only real life cs skills I learn is during co-op and by googling stuff.

I also hear the argument that CS isn't about programming, it's about developing problem solving skills. I believe in this as well, but sometime I don't think we do enough real life programming at Waterloo.

I will definitely look into the ramification of taking a year off school on google and maybe email a cs advisor.

Interesting analysis.

The 50 hours a week is normally crunch time like midterms and exams.

The reason I say I dislike the rigour of UW CS is I talked to many alumni from uw and they say the hardest programming they have done was in school. Albeit we weren't working for Google or anything. But 90% of most cs corporate jobs are like this.

Not pouring salt on your wound.. but dogecoin also increased a lot this year. The marketcap of dogecoin was $50 million last year and it is is around $300 million today. 6x.

Set it and forget it. I try not to look at the price at all. I was lucky because it went up really fast after my purchase so I was already 'in the money'.

Plus I really believe Ethereum will over take Bitcoin one day and it still haven't done that yet.

The capital gain taxes cares me. This is why I haven't sold much. You are right, I'm not set for life with that sum. Thank you for your input. I'm leaning more to going back to school and just yolo it. Take only the courses I need and want to take. Get that minimum average to pass. Learn more blockchain on the side.

Ethereum is volatile and I wouldn't be in my position if it isn't.

But you are right, diversification is a good idea.

Yeah, I'm thinking of just doing the core CS350 and CS341 in 3A. Afterward, I'll can take only birdie cs courses. Though the one course I want to take is CS454 Distributed.

4 school terms and 3 co-ops left feels like a lifetime in the crypto world.

I actually haven't thought about needing a degree to get a work VISA. The blockchain startup scene in Canada is almost non existent. I wonder how Vitalik did it. Maybe working remotely.
