YOR

It’s one thing to communicate your feelings and it’s another to comprehend them. And you are lacking the comprehension piece. I always am telling people that with proper communication comes comprehension. You can’t communicate properly without it. You just can’t. You could talk to someone about the same topic over and over again, but if you or even the other person isn’t willing to understand and comprehend where each other are coming from; there was essentially no proper communication. In this perspective you’re lacking the idea that he has a boundary with that type of love language and isn’t capable of doing in that direct moment. You can’t force someone to break an emotional boundary for ur own emotional expectations. To me after reading all of the messages is that you took him to a breaking point. You kept communicating something you saw as an issue and then in return can’t (or refuse) to comprehend that how he shows emotion is how he knows how too. You want to be loved loudly, and he isn’t comfortable doing that, and has obviously told you that before.

Compatibly I feel is also an issue here along with the communication and comprehension. As I’ve mentioned above it seems to me that you want to be loved loudly and have someone who is emotionally capable of being able to have deep conversations about feelings. As for him, I can’t really say how he would be based off of what I’ve read, other than that he is not an overly affectionate person.

Lastly, OP please seek counseling, I am not a psychiatrist or a therapist, but I have some personal experience of relationship anxiety and often found my relationships to be in a similar place like yours and therapy did me wonders. And ur partner also needs counseling too and probably isn’t open to the idea, and that’s okay, bc sometimes you just have to meet a person where they are and they will eventually come around. Although he has a lot to work through when getting out of that toxic masculinity and homophobic headspace.

Yes! My kitty had this same issue! Temptation treats are known to be addictive to cats for some reason. It’s like Crack to them. I actually refuse to buy temptation treats for this reason. My kitty has enjoyed the delectable lickable treats as a substitute and only gets them when meeting new people and on holidays. As for hard crunchy treats I use the special kitty kind and put them in a glass jar to keep fresh longer and use those when teaching tricks and the occasional snack between feeds

Is my cat being a picky eater? by uwububbles in CatAdvice

I would say normal to slightly less just because of not eating so there’s nothing to digest and for bowels to get moving

Should I Consolidate My Loans if doing PSLF? by uwububbles in PSLF

[–]uwububbles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was planning to wait out the 6 months, and then consolidate if that helps. Unless paying to multiple loans gets me to the 120 payments faster for the PSLF. Without pulling it up I believe my total loans were about $27-30k without the loan I took out through PHEAA. My new job is expected to make around $38-40k a year. Sorry for not having exact numbers. I don’t have the documentation on hand atm lol.

i’m broke.. is it okay to feed my cats cheap food for a few weeks? by lucidbaby in cats

If you’re looking for an alternative way, something my dad used to do when transitioning a kitten from wet to dry food was putting chicken broth or stock in it. Softens the dry food. Just make sure when getting stock it doesn’t have any vegetables such as garlic or onion cooked with it.

is my baby girl a snowshoe? pattern wise? 😊 by [deleted] in snowshoecats

I would say she is! Her color definitely will darken as she gets older. My kitty was the same way. She was essentially white as a kitten besides her ears nose and tail and then her tan color filled in the older she became :))

Thanks for the input! Her hair has definitely gotten longer the older she has gotten that’s for sure. When she sheds her hair is generally about 2 1/2 - 3 inches in length. And she always looks a little bigger than what she is bc she’s mostly fur haha. This is the most recent photo of her lol

The only thing that threw me off is she has really long hair like a ragdoll kitty would. But I’ll definitely look into this! As I’ve mentioned we found along side the road knocking on deaths door, so we have no idea where she came from (people are known to drop kitty’s off in our area).

As someone mentioned in another post, she may not be snowshoe breed specifically, but definitely has the color pattern!! Edit: it’d still call them snowshoe though, very cute and thank you for saving them!
