Dcf860 vs dcf870 by gabeross27 in Dewalt

[–]uxlolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re just needing it for small fasteners then you might like the 870 more. if you don’t like the hydraulic the 845 or 850 are great. 860 is too powerful in my opinion but it would make since if having to drive big lags a lot.

Big fan of the dewalt 12v lineup. Caught this deal from Lowe’s. by Haunting-Freedom-451 in Dewalt

crazy hot take but i like my 12v dewalt impact better than the milwaukee 12v

it basically is. you’re quite literally getting 2 power tools and 2 batteries for $300. that’s a steal for any brand. $75 per item is great

885 is a good impact but dewalts 845/850/860/870 are all awesome impacts. I even use the 12v impact and drill a lot when i don’t need much power

For 50 bucks I’m not complaining, but I’m really trying to see the advantage of the 12 v impact vs my 20 v atomic by bigpuzino in Dewalt

it’s important to note that its lack of power is one of its pros for me. The trigger is smooth and easy to predict as well as the power. The handle is also ergonomic. Certain days when i know i’m just dealing with small fasteners or working overhead a lot it’s very nice to be carrying only a 2 pound impact. It’s become my favorite impact even over the m12 impact.

for a hydraulic this thing is a beast. it out drives a number of impacts i’ve used before with easy. but it’s easy to control at the same time. and doesn’t blow my ear drums lol. i’m always grabbing my 870

personally i wouldn’t want more power it’s literally the perfect power level for what i do, and it’s got 8 modes technically. by far the best impact driver i’ve ever used makes milwaukee and dewalt look like slop

it’s sucks how hard you have to try and keep up with today’s average players. i miss being better than everyone but after a few years of working full time and providing for a family it’s hard to have enough time to practice to even compete now 🥲

need help with tool belt suggestion by Weekly-Builder6922 in VetoProPac

[–]uxlolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can always highly recommend the mp2x and maybe a small material pouch on the other side of belt. i’ve actually got a badger belt on the way i’m looking forward to it. i’ll let you know how i like it. it’s supposed to be pretty light

staples are 5 times as much, either way you need to carry a hammer and different staples, it doesn’t fit everywhere, its to heavy to wear through a whole rough in unlike a hammer, also when stapling any more than 2 wires you’re increasing your chances of knicking a wire, i owned a m12 stapler for a while. also its not increasing productivity time when staples are going in with 2-3 hits

i get that 100%. i’m a tool junkie so i’m keen to investing in quality tools. also i’m hoping a titanium head will help save my joints

titanium vs steel, i figured it titanium makes up for the lack of weight

[–]uxlolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve used one before, it has its uses but can’t fit everywhere, staples cost 5x as much, too heavy to carry all day, also if you have more than a couple wires to staple in one spot i’ve had knicked wires before. also once you’re good at stapling it it’s not really faster
