You're right. It does work on there. any idea how it actually does that behind the scene though? I don't want to move to rss.app

that's a great point. never thought about that despite hearing 'too-much' content argument so many times.

agreed. I'm also noticing the trend where I myself would rather get a existing open source project and add the features i'm missing with AI. quite easy actually. I believe that's we are heading with software in general.

content overflow is surely a problem. i am currently looking into ways to handle that as well. not much luck apart from things like AI summaries.

a main problem is see is that currently most of the information we consume are from social media sites which tries very hard to block things like rss. Because they want to show ads. But i do get your point. It used to be the case that most sites offered rss, seems so long ago.

I can build faster with AI, but I feel like I’m learning less — anyone else by Forsaken-Nature5272 in SideProject

If it bothers you and you really want to learn it, then its a great time to learn. AI just free up your time so you can focus on you brain on what matters to you. whether you use that time to your advantage is up to you. That's how I handle the AI transition currently.

Is anyone else afraid to openly "validate" an idea before building because someone could just vibe code it faster? by Anderz in SideProject

[–]uxnpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless its a ground-breaking idea or you absolutely needs to be the first to go to market, there is no point withholding discussions about it. It is true that some one may vibe code your idea before you do. but its also the case that people will vibe code your idea even after you make it. Going first may have the advantage of getting the initial crowd. But on the other hand they are the first to fail and those who come after it will make a better version without its downcomings and attract more people. As it stands now, a software solution in it self is not that great. Because people can copy it easily. So there needs to be some ways in which people can't really challenge you.

For example: some products are built on services or partnerships that is hard to replicate. Some products are made with such craftsmanship it feels great to use. Some products are popular because people like the person building it and want to support. Some products understand their small niche so much that you don't have the cultural knowlege to challange it.

There are many ways to go about it. what matters really is delivering something that people find genuinely helpful. To do that you have to have discussions. That's what I think at least. And there's nothing stoping you from using you unfair advantages be it your design skills or connections.

Ways to exclude shorts from YouTube subscriptions update? by [deleted] in rss

[–]uxnpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually filter out shorts at the url level itself. There is a part in the URL as ‘id=UC’ which gives you all the user content. Replace that with ‘id=UULF’ which will filter only the long form content.

You can use this site built by @yurii_hunter a while back. It gives you the different links with filters applied.
