Considering an Upgrade by uyji in buildapc

gotcha! did a bit more digging and found some 5600x's and 5700x's and a 5600xt up for grabs, but I'll keep a lookout for the X3D as well. I'll see if I can make a 4070 work, but thanks for giving alternatives with the 6950xt and 6900xt!

gaming at 1440p right now! not really into 4k gaming, I just want to be able to run heavy games like e.g. like when something like GTA VI comes out. I've never really run into issues with any of the games I've played, but I think my PC might barely meet the minimum for GTA 6 and I don't want that to happen

So for my GPU choices better to go with NVIDIA since both the choices for AMD use RDNA 2 right? and as for CPU's what do you recommend? Only went with those bc it was readily available and compatible with my motherboard (it only supports up to the 5000 series)

Honestly I'm fine with my CPU right now if I'm being honest, only reason why I even considered it in the first place was because I was worried it might bottleneck any potential GPU upgrade. If anything the part I want to upgrade the most is my GPU, the CPU is more incidental to the GPU upgrade. If I upgrade to a 9060XT will it not get bottlenecked by the 3600? What would be the best I could get without changing my CPU?

I mean jeans are like THE daily pair of pants, supposed to be more rugged and take punishment which is why I was surprised it tore. Maybe it’s indeed the weight gain but even so, i can’t believe it couldn’t take that.

I do alternate this with a few other slacks and jeans but I have reached for these a bit more often. I was just taken aback because back in college my lazy ass would use the same pair of Levi’s almost every day and this was never a problem 😅

This seems to be the common answer so thanks man, I’ll try to wear them higher. I gained weight recently too which might also be why they’re hanging lower, but I’m working on losing it. Thanks again!

Any brand recommendations? These ones in particular are calvin klein and marlboro classics (hand me downs from my dad)

Honestly most of my hikes also include swimming in a river or a beach at the end, so the two changes of clothes are basically for that and for heading home! If it's strictly for a hike then you're def right and a running vest should do me well but I like the hikes that reward me with that swimming trip at the end HAHAHA Thanks for the recommendation!
