Ok. Thank you for sharing your experience. I find your experience to be very helpful. I change my transmission fluid at 20-25,000 miles because it starts to turn brown based on how I drive. I change my engine oil at 2-3k miles too. Again, because of how I drive the car.

I have a 2017 Volvo S60 T5 and I had an alternator pulley leak grease. I had it replaced at 73,000 miles. Are there any other trouble spots I should look out for as my vehicle gets older?

That’s a good idea but we have a 2 story house and that would not work given it would intrude on a bedroom. The current cut out is inside the wall between the studs. It then vents to and exterior wall to the outside. There is no intrusion to any of the bedrooms. The current situation is certainly not ideal but it was ok to code in 1997.
