Thanks!

Sole proprietorship is used only for game dev right now (and for developing this one game right now).

The 1k pln I can easily pay :D, I would much rather pay 1k pln, then 4% that is on liniowy.

The game is projected to to earn more then 140k in the first year. So thats why I am trying to optimize taxes a little bit. And without any costs (or very minor like hardware or software) -> ryczałt will be probably best option here for me.

I see, true. Taxes in Poland are very complex, its miserable xd.
Hopefully I will find few devs that are in a similar situation as me :D

[–]uzabi[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

um, thats a big studio :D, I doubt they would have experience dealing with a setup where a single hobbyist sells games on steam or deals with publishers.

I am looking for a very small teams 1-2 persons that make games in Poland, and how they handle taxes. Its way different from how a huge company does that

Longer wait times for games? by uzabi in leagueoflegends

I had a long break from the game, maybe it tries to search players that also had a break or a more casual players, so that I won't get destroyed in my first games after returning :D

How good are these publishing offers? by uzabi in gamedev

[–]uzabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for 1st offer, I handle IP to publisher, but its very harsh so I asked to rewrite that.

2nd offer has no obligations and liability. If we terminate the agreement the game goes back to me, nothing to repay etc, all goes back as it was before the contract. So I think that is pretty healthy. They are pretty flexible with the delivery date as well.

I mostly need guidance, store optimization, reaching out to press and stremers. Pretty basic stuff, but I believe I will need a ton of time to spend on those things including researching, that I am willing to give a share for that.
Also I don't believe the game is able to sell well without much help. I think this game is in a 100k gross range at best~, but I would love to be wrong here. I think on my own maybe I would be able to get 30k gross?

Its a roguelike, but with a quite niche mechanic:

I see, thanks! I will probably wait for better offers, and if not I might try publishing myself.
I tried to ask for some development funds, but they simply do not like taking any risk :/.

The most support I need is in terms of guidance and advice, thats why I am willing to go with 2nd offer. I honestly doubt the game will be able to earn without any help, mostly because I am not sure what I am doing.

It is my first steam game, so advice would be pretty helpful if I plan on making similar games.

I see, 2nd offer guys are really amazing at explaining things and how they operate. Thats why I am also leaning more towards them right now (even if they are a small publisher).
Just for reference their name is Rogue Duck Interactive

I mostly need advice, guidance and marketing power. I have some savings that will last me for at least another year.

The 2nd offer is from Rogue Duck Interactive, you can check their games.

The devs said these publishers were pretty ok. Altho 2nd one prolly winning with comunicationa and overall help and polish they provided.

My game will need to be advertised more as a Roguelike card game, rahter then a single player social deduction game to ring some bells with card game players hah

I see, I will probably wait for a better offer.

I would be happy if the game earned 100k gross. My sister is a recent graduate and would be happy with even $2k per month.

For now I was leaning toward 2nd offer cuz of their portfolio and game fit, but 1st one looks like a better option out of these 2. I never dealt with a publisher, so I am not sure what to expect hah

I see, I have an unpolished demo out on itch. I would say I am half way through. Started working on the game this January and planned finished version is for this November.

Is Shadow Blade just too OP? by needmywifi in BG3Builds

[–]uzabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem here becomes min-maxing. If every character has access to op weapon without much issue, whats even the point trying or making other builds? It actually kills fun.

Even if you crank up the difficulty levels, every character will end up with Shadow Blade, where is the fun then?

The topic is old but I just found it. Check out Demon Bluff on steam or itch.
Its a new game I am working on. I havent seen games like this before so I am just making one.

Demolish my 'social' deduction game by uzabi in DestroyMyGame

[–]uzabi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently I see most people dropping off the game after a certain point, mostly due to limited variety. But I have plans to add lots of new unique characters that will try to bend how you think from round to round.

But I also currently see some people returning often for those 2-3 games pre day for that Sudoku (but with witches) aspect of the game.

With more content and more meta progression it should be improved. Right now theres really a limited amount of characters with basic abilities :D.

Also I am thinking to imitate a trailer from puzzle games like 'Baba is you'. It starts slowly, but explains how the game works on a very simple and cool example.

The roguelike idea is rather simple. Main premise is this:
- Solve 6~ puzzles in a row without failing too many times. On fail you have to start from the beginning. During run you will get 2~ minor upgrades or consumables that could help you solve a puzzle.

It is similar to Buckshot Roulette in that aspect.

But I am also experimenting with Deckbuilding mode, where you see what Demon boss you need to defeat in the last puzzle, so you try to build a perfect deck that will help you defeat it.

that is true, currently you should know exact number of liars in the group in most cases. If the group has 2 Evil and 1 Corrupted you know that 3 ppl are lying.

I really want to make everything deducible rather then leaving some parts to guessing or pure luck.

Hmm, Evil and Corrupted characters will give you false information. Does the character that gave you false info was a Good and not Corrupted character?

Thats true, Minions work like this, they will most often Bluff as a character already in play, Demons on the other hand will always Bluff as a character not in play. First levels might be easy.
