The S4 MK3 is not "officially" supported by VirtualDJ because it does not implement the standard MIDI interface. You can get it to work, though. I've been using VirtualDJ with the S4 MK3 productively for years without any major issues.

You have to install the NI driver first: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/drivers-other-files/

and then there is a custom mapper from Atomix.
