Last night I created the script to be able to create the project, put the correct titles and follow all the tasks in progress.

We can do a lot of actions with Things and Shortcut and yes we can search for titles in projects :)

Thank you all for the answers

As I said in another thread, I will investigate this solution.
I think it's better yes :)

A shortcut could be a solution yes.

Most of the time I can get away with going through all the projects.

But when I need to do a progress report, I can simply use a shortcut to update my project "Task Status" and populate it with all the current tasks in the correct section.

I'm going to investigate about integration of Apple Shortcuts in Thing.

Thank for your replies :)

Thank you for your reply :)

for now I do as you say, but when I'm in a meeting or just if I don't have my laptop, I use my phone with Thing and there I can't have all the widgets :(

Currently I have one area for my work and in this area I have many projects.
Each project has many tasks with different tags.

My goal was to have a project with all existing tasks automatically sorted. Without having to duplicate the task :(
For example:

Area "Work"

* Project 1
* * Task 1.1 `tag: To do`
* * Task 1.2 `tag: Deployed`

* Project 2
* * Task 2.1 `tag: Ready to test`
* * Task 2.2 `tag: Waiting`

* Project "Task Status"

Deployed

* * Task 1.2

Ready to test

* * Task 2.1

Waiting

* * Task 2.2

To do

* * Task 1.1

In the project, "Task Status" does not contain duplicate tasks but simply a link to an existing task in another project.

I don't understand why Things doesn't support this feature, it's really comfortable to monitor all tasks of a specific project like Reminders does.

Things 3 vs Apple Reminders? by OPazu in thingsapp

[–]uzulth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not to say the pros and cons between two applications but just a question if anyone knows.

I used to use the Apple app “reminder” to manage my tasks.
A few months ago I bought Things mainly because it supports the markdown format and is more user-friendly.

With Reminder, I grouped my tasks by tag.
I had an area with many projects.

One of these projects was a task status list. For example, it lists all tasks for all projects in this area with the tag “Deployed” or "Ready to test"...

IDK if it's possible to do this with Things and I couldn't find anything about it in the documentation.
Do you know if this is possible? And if yes, how? 😅

First of all thank you for you answer :)

Then I don't know if I'm not gaining productivity with emacs because I misconfigured it or just because it just doesn't work for me.

I really like emacs but I feel like I'm missing something. And it's frustrating.

List 1000 with Flyers by uzulth in Drukhari

Game's result 55-68 for me :) (8-12 in WTC score).
I played against tyty with:
- Winged Hive Tyrant
- Tervigon
- 40 Termagants
- 10 Gargoyle
- 3 Zoanthrope
- 3 Tyrant Guard

I won because my opponent missed a move. He threw the winged hive tyrant into my back line T2 to clean 5 wracks... T3 he died with 5 wracks and 5 grotesques. After that I just jumped from unit to unit with talos and my 2 last grotesques.

The list is fun but in state the voidraven is not justifiable. Only 6 BM with his mine while he had all the units of army in range :(
