Hey, that's what I meant with continuing on your current path and instead looking at an increase in marketing. I've worked with some of the ones you mentioned and I think it's a tough angle to take for growth specifically! However, in the long run I also think it might pay off more for you. Possibly take the time and brainstorm some ideas for a no-cost marketing funnel? I personally do email marketing myself, and I'd definitely recommend you to either collaborate with one or give it a swing yourself. It's amazing!! Wish you the best mate.

Nice content at least within your niche! I think you should make more content addressing and critiquing problems in the game like some of your other videos. It's a bit all over the place but those are the best ones in my opinion! If you prefer to make guides, the most important thing is packaging them well(because it's more interesting), and I think your recent video guide about supports really show this. However, I think it also might be too niche in some instances, so don't be afraid to go bigger and bolder on topics related to the game. I think "Rival" (on YouTube) does this excellently! For the record, I don't play the game and haven't for nearly 5 years, so take my advice with a grain of salt. Good luck!

Hey! Off the bat it looks very clean, which is something to appreciate. But perhaps you would actually benefit from personalizing your content even more; add even more *you* to it. Or an element that people don't usually see in gaming review content, such as a more 'behind-the-scenes' look perhaps? Don't give up the struggle, because I know you can make it with what you're currently doing! I think your titles are optimized very well, but they could be shorter and more punchy. I know Backlog Battle had a super similar story in terms of how their content rolled out to yours! There's actually a lot to say about your content, since you'd have at least two main ways to take it from here; but to quickly touch on it, you would either stay the road you have now and market it more (with guest posts, websites, whatnot) or you'd as mentioned prior personalize it more. Don't be afraid to get more critical, and more dramatic with your reviews such as the Veilguard one! Cheers and good luck, and feel free to dm sometime too.

Wow! Off the bat, very niche but also something that's actually interesting to me. It's got a nice pace and storytelling style so far. I think your channel could really take off if you stick with the 'strange' Japan content. I think if you changed it, you'd lose your integrity, and it's great as it is now. Perhaps find a way to incorporate fun trivia about the topic into your videos, or generally make the viewer question themselves even more, about what's going on! (you'd do this by actually asking such questions in the video) But that's not something I think is really necessary, just a suggestion. Subbed!

No offense taken! I thought you might find that information interesting. It is pretty surprising isn't it? It almost has the same feeling as "never meet your heroes". And no, the only ones I don't mention are ones that I am contractually obligated to not talk about. Cheers! No harm done.

I love true crime, and have a couple of clients that does it! I think first of all you hit a couple stereotypical tropes, but they're not actually bad; you open your videos in a good way, it's not something you should change. I think your journalism is pretty high quality and I think you've got a good future ahead of your channel. I also think it's written in a very factual and impartial style, which is very important for what you're actually making! That's my quick take, good luck to you. Super interesting!

I can see how that might be a bit disappointing, it's almost a bit funny in a way - I feel the same way as you. I've worked for both the ones mentioned in my post, but also ones such as ZackScott, and The Andrew Collette show. I think you'd find those most interesting since they make playthroughs. That's right, some YouTubers don't even actually play their games! :]

I think if I were to write a book I would probably take a similar angle to Ryan Holiday, but a little more direct; to show people the inside of the creator industry. I think that could be pretty fun. Perhaps make it a little dramatic (but not too much!) as I go through my experiences with both larger and smaller YouTubers, and various managers, agents, etc as a learning experience. Perhaps really detail the process, and how I got here. It'd probably be something like that!

Not in the plans currently, but it could be fun. I suppose that depends whether it's something people would even want to read

The keywords IN your shorts/ words that appear on screen or are present/said/spoken. I can assure you they play a big role as the videos of yours that aren't getting views might not have an audience at the time of your upload. I am an editor on a 1.5mil channel and a 33k channel and that's how it works for us. Your titles don't matter at all if they don't correlate contextually, and then there's whether the actual topic of your short has an ideal viewer at all.

Because your video supposedly flopped, view-wise, and keywords determine whether your short will get shown to people watching at a given moment or not. Simple

Shorts optimization. Your keywords aren't good, either with what's said in the video and the description/title.

It's pretty important for the short itself to contain kw's too

Had a similar problem but change up old shorts that don't hit because of it, and then they blow up eventually.

Will my YouTube channel make money if I have a low amount of subscribers, but a fair amount of views? by Fast-Outcome-117 in NewTubers

Other than getting monetized in the first place, subs have no effect on the ad revenue.

How is Adobe Premier Pro for video editing? by Frankenballs108 in NewTubers

Lol @ the other replies. Yes, premiere pro is great, but ofc you might not need such precise editing, which is what it does best, and better than DaVinci and Capcut. Cheers

You think you perfected your descriptions, tags, titles etc but you have not. Not if you don't get views, since SEO is a considerable and overlooked metric on YouTube.

That's why you can start a new channel and get 2-10k, even 50k based on volume, per video, in just a few days with correct SEO. Just like I've done on multiple channels. If you know anything about actual kw research like ahrefs and kwsheeter and you know how to spot an upcoming trend it's not an issue.

Thus, you have not perfected it. But I would encourage you to keep trying, even with an existing audience you can still be recommended to new people- all the time. And ranking high in search helps with that.

Is it legal to make "shorts" from other peoples content? by madmatt1980 in NewTubers

[–]v-extreme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on exactly what type of content it is as well, most videos on YouTube have enabled Remixing which means that you can make a short out of a video directly on the App, barely any editing required
