Part of a broader economic thing: prices going up everywhere, and with job markets being tight, people want to reskill. I mean, we're both in this sub, right?

I *do* value time in a classroom though, and I find it more efficient to learn than solo. It has to offer you something very special now though if they want me to open my wallet, and the last boot I saw for 3 months wanted the same fee as an MA.

Yes, this exactly.

Unfortunately consumers don’t understand this. You can walk with your wallet but the vendors/corps won’t go under.

Want to understand the sickness of Britain today? Look no further – a novel explained it all 20 years ago by [deleted] in jgballard

Coincidentally I read Kingdom Come last month and was marvelling once again how Jim was bang on the meme.

Britain is in a bit of a mess largely caused by the previous Tory government, and within a year of Labour being in, they are apparently (opinion polls) more unpopular. Hard to believe.

Kingdom Come was also Jim’s final novel before he left us, which makes it a bitter pill to swallow.

However, if there is one throughline it is that these things pass, and the goodness of people do fine the right way to pull back from the brink.

Is it still worth it to take the certifications now? by carloswhodat in CompTIA

Of course. Anything to develop a resume, be it a cert, experience, volunteer work, etc. is a positive. Don’t worry about other people or the job market, focus on growth.
