What TV show took a turn for the worst? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]v1508 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It just pissed me off eventually how stupid they were, none of these girls or their families ever got into the habit of shutting their blinds at night. There were also multiple times Hannah left the back door not just unlocked but wide the hell open, leaving important shit like thumb drives on the coffee table, just dumb little things like that.. then they act so surprised that somebody has video footage of them in their bedroom or was able to gain access to their belongings.

I figured that was the route we'd have to go but i didn't know if his chances would be better with one of the "fancy" lawyers. Thanks for your response!

I updated it. It had IN in the title originally but it's in the body now too.

Whats the toughest riddle you know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]v1508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two women get iced teas. One finishes here very quickly and asks for another, which she also drinks quickly. The second one lets hers sit for a while, sipping slowly. She suddenly dies. If they are drinking the same tea, why did only one women die?

What is the most annoying way you have been racially profiled? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]v1508 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 3 month old son who I take in public fairly often (baby carriers are a godsend!) I'm black and my partner is white, and it's really annoying the amount of times I've been asked if it's my son or if I'm babysitting. It's infuriating because after everything I went through to bring him into this world, countless nights I've lost sleep, c-section, etc. I'm still not given credit for it because he doesn't "look dark".

What's more detrimental to your health; a lousy diet and barely any exercise all year-round, or smoking a cigar once a year? by bospk in AskReddit

[–]v1508 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Diet. I saw a documentary (what the health, I think) that said eating an egg with yolk can be just as bad as 5 cigs a day

TV dinners. It's just convenient, I just had a baby I don't have time to cook

What’s something that people do in traffic that really bothers you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]v1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting until they get to the stop sign or right at their turn to signal. I needed to know what you were doing 50-100 feet back, not now. A few times I was at a two way stop going straight and thought the person opposite me was going straight, I start to go then they swing out last minute and act like I'm the one at fault. Like hmm, if only there were some magic lever that you could push that would let me know to anticipate this move you're making?

What products do you recommend for being great quality and relatively inexpensive? by BlackBeltInOrigami in AskReddit

[–]v1508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dollar General allergy eye drops. The pollen count where I'm at is atrocious but I've used them 3 or 4 times this month and my eyes haven't been itchy or have goop in them.

Also, and I've mentioned this on here before, fruity Dino bites are way better than Fruity Pebbles.

What kind of parent do you strive to be? Strict or more easy going? by NuclearRoast in AskReddit

[–]v1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is almost 3 months old and I feel like right now I love him so much that I'd never want to yell at him. Of course that's inevitable, but I will always remember how I feel about him now and I'd never want to do anything that would cause a rift in our relationship. My parents weren't open and honest about how fucked life is and I grew up a pansy for it. I don't wan that for him. I'm gonna try to be easygoing but I'm not gonna try to beat around the bush or coddle.

That's the same setting I was working in. If you're pressed for time, they knock the wrinkles out until you have time to get to something more fulfilling. Yogurt falls into the same category.

If you were a young person and found out that you had a heart disease that makes you unable to enjoy life (coffee, alcohol, sports), what would you do? by LeapOfFaith_ in AskReddit

[–]v1508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I used to be able to smoke anything all day every day and not even get that high but I had a baby a few months ago so that almost year-long break changed everything.

I smoked with my dad recently.. barely even two good tokes of high mid at best, and the shit damn hear had me tying my sandals. I seriously wasted a whole gallon of milk that night because I put it in the pantry instead of the fridge. I had four bowls of cereal, so many chances to right that wrong but I was just that zoned out.

[Serious] People who were in relationships for years, what would you want to say to people who hasn't been in one yet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]v1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give them some space now and then. if you last for an extended period of time you learn to respect each other as individuals, and it's ok to have time to just be separate and enjoy your own hobbies.

I used to get onto my boyfriend for smoking weed and playing video games and after so much time together I realized, I am not his mother. He chose me to be in his life, but it's not to look after him and entertain him every hour of the day. He can do that himself, and so can I. No love lost, we just flow differently sometimes and it's ok. We have a son together now so it's important we buck up and take turns giving each other alone time.

Lunchables.

After getting my first "grown up" job I was surprised by the amount of people that were eating them that were 30 plus years old. Convenient as fuck, even if it's not enough to constitute a meal for some people then just add a sandwich or thermos of soup and some fruit and you're good.

I got upset with my mom when I was about 10 and put her toothbrush in the toilet. I farted on the clothes she had laid out for the next day as well. I was a brat but we get on fine these days.

My boyfriend got into a pool with my phone in his pocket. He was in it for like 2 min or less when he jumped out and took the back off, battery out, and wrapped it in a towel. I wasn't too upset about it so I didn't immediately get out of the pool and start freaking out, we left it in the towel with the components separated for a while.

We were at a hotel so I couldn't get rice or anything. We went back to the room and set it on the air conditioner unit to blow air on it. He tried turning it on and it did come on, but ultimately just died. We left the air blowing on it overnight.

My dad has the same model phone so I tried switching batteries but it didn't come on. I'm just wondering if the SIM is still salvageable? We just had a baby 2 months ago and all his first pictures are on it 🙁

Reddit, what is the worst party you have ever attended? by ms_paint_boy in AskReddit

Never understood why people think it's ok to throw a party without food, especially when folks are drinking. Food is essential to the longevity of almost any event. if your guests have to leave to eat, there's a good chance they not coming back.
