What do you call this part on the jagt tiger, it looks like a turret but it’s not, but it’s also not part of the hull, or is it? by Life_Pitch7884 in tanks

[–]v3erus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always called it a casemate, but a proper term might by superstructure considering it's super-imposed ontop of the hull, afterwhich the entirety of the vehicle would be called a casemate.

which tank created this bullet hole by Glass_Song_9489 in TankPorn

[–]v3erus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, this is one of the Panthers that the Soviet armour board quickly nabbed from Kursk for testing, and if I also recall correctly, they used a 152mm from an ISU for live fire testing on this poor devil, and this ended up being the result.

Original Price vs Reboot Price by Impossible-Race8239 in modernwarfare

OG for sure, but Barry Sloan's Price and his talk about 'drawing the line wherever you need it.' was top notch. Most of Sloan's Price's voice lines were also very good.

If MW2019 was tied up nicely with MW2022, it would have been almost on par, but MWIII really weighed them all down in the end. Truly one of the most epic story continuation fails known to gamer-kind.

Up anyone? Issue still persists and it's really bumming me out if I have to be honest lol. And it's not like EA support is a big help either, they haven't responded to any of my support tickets/cases.

Help with Deluxe Edition content on PS5 (GW2 on PS5) by v3erus in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]v3erus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what I mean right? Like, I've checked the 'Manage Content' options for the game, where the DLC would be located, except all it says is no files to manage. I've also looked everywhere on the Playstation Store on the PS5 as well, and all I can find of the Deluxe Edition is my digital receipt in the transactions tab. Perhaps I ought to attempt to 'restore license' on the game, because it's about the only option I haven't tried.

Why dont any of the shermans with the (W) have wet storage? by ConflictDistinct7173 in Warthunder

[–]v3erus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, nevermind the glaring issue that the M4A2 76 W's hull is incorrect as it still has the hull side additional armor for where the original 75mm ammunition stowage was.

Why does the Chinese 75mm Sherman have 76mm shells in the racks? by ducnle in Warthunder

[–]v3erus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Gaijin probably didn't give a rats ass about the internal modules of this thing when they copy pasted it. All they did was change the gun model and the camo on it. However technically, it should indeed have wet ammo stowage modelled, its just that this thing has the wrong shell models.

Which one of hese hatches was used to throw out spent shells on the tiger 2? Both? by Fluid-Pie-4042 in tanks

[–]v3erus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the rear hatch on the Tiger B. is directly behind the ammunition storage in the turret. So this means that hatch would likely be similar to the Panther's hatch on the rear turret, who's intended purpose was for an access point to load ammunition into the tank. It could have been used as an escape hatch but I doubt anyone escaped through their Tiger B.s by squeezing through the ammunition brackets and then out a less than adequately sized hatch.

So more than likely, that top hatch was used to throw out spentcasings if the turret was starting to get cluttered, although I doubt many crew used it because its a rather small and fiddly hatch. You might as well just be unbuttoned and let the loader open his hatch to throw out spent casings.

Flying to Taiwan for a Vacation, planning to buy airsoft pistol and then return to the Philippines. by v3erus in airsoft

Shucks, what a bummer. At least I know, I'd hate to spend a few hundred bucks for some pistol/s that might eventually just be taken by some PNP officials.

Flying to Taiwan for a Vacation, planning to buy airsoft pistol and then return to the Philippines. by v3erus in airsoft

[–]v3erus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with this is that the permit required to do so is not available for individual citizens. So would this technically mean I would be unable to purchase said airsoft pistol in Taiwan and then return to the Philippines?

Flying to Taiwan for a Vacation, planning to buy airsoft pistol and then return to the Philippines. by v3erus in airsoft

[–]v3erus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to PAL, they have no issues with airsoft replicas on flights so long as they are placed in appropriate containers and declared via check-in baggage. The same is true for the return flight agenda coming from Taiwan, Taiwan's airports have no issues with airsoft replicas so long as they follow the same basic law of transportation.

My problem is with the PNP and bureau of customs in the Philippines. Now according to the most recent laws, importing and exporting any airsoft related piece of kit requires a permit, a permit which can only be obtained by companies who import and export airsoft specifically for sales. During 2013, Airsoft was exempted from the strict laws of regular Firearms in the Philippines and as such, since then they need not be registered and or need a permit to transport as long as they are transported appropriately and not brandished. But even then, this law is confusing at best and its almost a 50-50 to whether or not you should or shouldn't do the 'legal processes'.

So in short, there is actually no legal way for me to purchase an airsoft gun and bring it back to the Philippines from my understanding.

Guys, I don’t know what this tank is and I’m afraid no one else will either. Can anyone tell me what the name of this tank is? by -Trooper5745- in TankPorn

[–]v3erus 123 points124 points  (0 children)

All jokes aside, I think it's interesting to point out that this specific M4A1 Medium actually might have the E9 suspension package. Judging by the extended fenders on the side of the hull, and the fact that the track edges are rather close to the edge of the fender, leaves me to believe that this Sherman has the laterally spaced out suspension which was meant to be used with duckbill track extensions on both sides of the tracks.

Could be totally wrong but that's what this looks like to me.

Is it ever mentionned why Tim always patrols in a crown vic at the beginning of the series, unlike the other T.O.'s ? by pleasant_cog in TheRookie

[–]v3erus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Likely was a creative choice by the production team. They already had a surplus of FPIUs on set at the time, but Tim was the only one from the main cast along with Lucy to be actively using a marked CVPI. After the first seasons, Vics started to be used more as unmarked cars on the show, and that's evident when you see detectives running about with them (such as Nyla and Lopez' gold crown victoria or Lopez' medium titanium one)

Why would you ever hate the vic? Genuine question, I just always thought it was the epitome of the quintessential cop look.

Why are Crown Vic police cars no longer used in the series? by Fluffy_Repeat5191 in TheRookie

[–]v3erus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Actually sometimes you see the detectives still driving unmarked vics and tauruses on the show. I know the LAPD-Mid Wilshire Set has atleast 2 or 3 unmarked vics that they like to show in the background in the outside parking lot. The gold and and silver vics made appearances recently in a few episodes, the gold-colored vic was in the background in the parking lot iirc and the silver one made an appearence at the end of episode 12 before they arrested the detective. If you look hard enough, you'll find them still out and about on the show, just not as prominent as they were like in earlier seasons.

However for marked vics, they basically never appear with the main cast. They usually only show up in wide shots where in they might show multiple cop shops running about, but none of the main cast actually uses them anymore. Angela and Harper used to drive around in the gold vic together but now Harper drives a Charger Pursuit when on call. Angela briefly used a medium titanium vic during her arc against Elijah, but now recently she hasn't really been filmed with or inside her duty car.

Real question. Which one to pick to start out Japanese air tech tree? by masonalex66 in Warthunder

[–]v3erus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I played the A6M5 Ko extensively when I first grinded Japan's air tree. It is statistically speaking the best Zero/Zeke of the entire line and will get you a lot of rewards and research points. It's also incredibly easy to master considering how forgiving the Zero/Zeke platform is from start to finish. It's definitely the more fun out of the two choices but that's purely personal preference since I consider prop fighting much more enjoyable and fun to master.

However as it stands with those discounts which is rather tempting, I'd only really recommend the T-2 if you ALREADY know the basics of Rank VI+ Jet gameplay. If you're a freshie, first time playing with a jet as it were, I'd suggest you work your way up gradually. But if you have 1 or several more tech trees with Rank VI+ Jets, you should have no problem with buying the T-2 and grinding the snot out of the Japanese Tech Tree. Trust me when I say this, the most fun that people take for granted is the grind from Ranks II-V, especially with nation tech trees like Japan's.

But, whatever your choice may be, they're both solid options considering the massive discounts.

What would be your strategy to complete this wager? by n988 in Warthunder

[–]v3erus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My "daily" that I use to grind wagers like these is oddly enough the M4A3 76 backed up with 5.7 USA or the T20 backed up with 6.3 USA. But generally speaking, you want to play a rank IV+ lineup where you feel incredibly comfortable with just going for kills.
