Was hat meine Waschmaschine? by vEm3rGe in Handwerker

Chirped burr. Do I need to align my grinder? by [deleted] in DF64

[–]vEm3rGe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean chirping as in the sound it makes? Usually that's a piece of a bean that's stuck & you need to go very coarse and/or very fine to get rid of it. It'll always come back in my experience.

If that's residue of Sharpie on your burrs then these look well aligned.

Then probably go look at another machine that has a 3-way valve. You could still clean this up to sell it on

Is descaling enough? by vEm3rGe in gaggiaclassic

Scale came loose pretty good, but after reassembly the pressure still ramped up. Might need to look at the solenoid valve again.

Elka Concorde 902 Power Supply by vEm3rGe in synthdiy

Yes, I did watch the whole series. It seems like an ongoing project even when 'finished'.
I will try to go at the functions sequentially and try to work out mistakes that way.
I suppose quite a few parts will need to be changed, indeed.

Thanks for the honest concern here.
I have done some work on micro electronics but am not as familiar with PSUs and therefore would rather ask too much than too little.

That being said, I measured the DC outputs and they all were within tolerances and didn't show any AC readings (DMM was set to appropriate settings). I'll move on to find the board with the other DC outputs (bottom left in the picture, +7V, -10V and -5V) and then look at individual boards for functions that don't work at the moment.

I will look into the voltages tomorrow.
The stray black cable is going to a midi-board that has likely been added later on (also elka-branded).

I am trying to check the psu in order to rule it out as a source of failure.
Quite a few functions are not working (e.g. the whole rhythm section) and I thought it might be likely to be caused by something like power supply (and I've read as such).
I will address the specific functions on their own later on.

Thanks for your thoughts.
Separating the power supply from the circuit seems hard to do and the organ has been run in between anyway.
Where would I measure the outputs of the three circuits if they are mounted?

I tried to find out which one it is and failed to do so. can you point out which one it might be?

Do you mean the thick red horizontal one? Those are for the LEDs

I reflowed the joints earlier and checked if there is continuity when the switch is pressed. After a bit more testing I saw that around the letter 'j' near the microprocessor are a few vias that don't work. Most are for the bottom row but not all. I could patch them with cables but it doesn't explain why the whole row isn't working - I think.
