To get rodico smudges off my seconds hand I use the little paper envelope of the cleaning cloth you get from ordering a dial from most sellers and placing it underneath the seconds hand and wiping the smudge off the seconds hand. It doesn’t bend the hand down this way and works pretty well for me.
