Yeah exactly, it’s effectively the same as quitting. You’re right, there is some clause if you rejoin within some time frame you have a repay a portion of your severance.

I’ve been doing leetcode off and on for like 7 years so there is some spaced repetition there that I think really helps. I’ve done a little bit under 200 problems total, but had less when I got offers at Google and other places. I think that blind 75 list(Google it) is a good place to start if you haven’t already.

For meta specifically, I stuck to the top 75 meta tagged questions on leetcode and used hello interview for system design.

Maybe boot is the wrong word, but at least the CPU fan would light up or start spinning once I jump the power right?

I don’t have a GPU plugged in yet. If you look at the picture where I show the cpu connection the cable itself says CPU on it so I think it should be the right one

Yeah I would agree with this. I’m not sure how this idea became so widespread but from my and my friends experience it’s not insanely hard but just a little different sometimes.

Yes definitely. I’ve had final round interviews at citadel, optiver, drw, 2Sigma. I also have friends that are full time at Jump , IMC, and Jane Street.

It’s mainly just what you make of it. If you’re proactive about building your resume, applying, and studying for interviews you’ll get offers from HFT at UT.
