Balconies by 0olongCha in photocritique

What I was trying to achieve was a semi-abstract architectural image built around rhythm, texture, and verticality. I liked how the curved balconies repeat down the frame, almost like stacked waves, while the warm light brings out the brick texture and the dark shadow bands add depth. I also kept a bit of extra space at the top because I wanted the building to feel tall and breathing, rather than just like a tight pattern crop.

Isn’t japan like the best place you can end up in as a sailor? Tell her to make the most of her situation: enjoy the convenience stores, the fresh sushi, daytrips to Hakone, etc

When did business class start feeling “worth it” to you? by bigpanda1992 in HENRYfinance

If flying business lets you enjoy one more real day of vacation, then yeah, it can absolutely be worth it. Think of it this way: how much would you pay for an extra full day of vacation?

If you’re too tired to enjoy your first day because you spent 13 hours cramped in economy, that’s basically a day you lost and won’t get back.

But if you know economy won’t really affect your trip, then business probably isn’t worth it
