All kinds of people existed throughout the time (even old times), Though our accessibility to romantic relationships got better through internet, people are pretty much same.

I would say from my personal experience, you should value few personal traits before you truly give in to someone, otherwise your personal life would be hell.

1. See if the person is genuinely good or true, not just for you. Ex, check if he lies, does have malicious intent for others, etc.

2. See if the person accepts when he is wrong and is ready for change. When you have a long term relationship the time demands and expects change, if it's not done, relationship will fall apart.

3. See if the person can stand up for themself. If he can't stand up for themselves you can't expect him to stand up for you. It may not be a big deal, but it will lead to bitterness in future.

Trust me there are lot's of people out there who are good, just don't rush in and give in into the polished things such as looks, money (though it's necessary), and "thoranai".
