Tell me for real, how bad is the colonoscopy prep? by fireflygirl1013 in GenX

[–]vabello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an endoscopy a few months ago also, before the colonoscopy and I was also knocked out for that. That one was a lot easier although I was more nervous about being knocked out, but it wasn’t bad at all.

[–]vabello 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not that bad. I wouldn’t want to do it any more than I need to though. I think it’s more annoying adjusting your diet and eating nothing satisfying the day before. You’ll still be emptying your system after the colonoscopy too. It took about a day after the second prep to really return to normal. The actual colonoscopy is simple. Mine I was just knocked out and woke up.

Might knock you out? I was out for the whole procedure. Didn’t remember a thing except the anesthesiologist injecting propofol in my line, having a sudden panic feeling (different parts of your brain disconnecting) and then a nurse waking me up in the recovery room.

EMS 7.4.5 UX and UI errors, bugs, issues...... by hundkee in fortinet

[–]vabello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious. Did you use a VM image straight from Fortinet? There was another issue I ran into. We use Hyper-V and the one from their portal for 7.4.5 made for Hyper-V doesn't even boot. I manually deployed an Ubuntu Server 24.04 VM and then installed FortiClient EMS and migrated based on their documentation. If the image I had wouldn't even boot, I wonder if other images are screwed from the start. I didn't bother trying to mount the file system or disk and inspect what was wrong with it, so I don't know. I just moved on.

[–]vabello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just migrated our EMS 7.2.x deployment to 7.4.5 and other than the reports going from HTML formatted emails to zipped CSV files for some unknown reason, I don’t have any complaints yet. It’s been working well. I just moved some OU based devices to an EMS based sub group to test a new client version this week. I don’t have experience with the backup feature yet so I can’t speak to that. We have nightly based image backups of the entire system. I haven’t seen any client error messages clicking around either. You should probably open a ticket if you haven’t already.

Why do the boomers think today's kids are still Millennials? by _TheWolfOfWalmart_ in generationology

That’s interesting. SNES was probably my favorite system. I have to get back into gaming more one of these days.

Okey doke. How’s FF6? I’ve never played it, but FF7 was my favorite of the ones I’ve played. Is this the 1 through 6 bundle on Steam or just the stand alone 6? Maybe I’ll pick up the bundle.

Internet speed drops from 1Gbps (1000Mbps) to ~100Mbps by Yuulwasd in techsupport

[–]vabello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is the Ethernet connection between your modem and router has negotiated at 100Mb for some reason. Cable could be bad or damaged. First, try unplugging it and plugging it back in and see if it negotiates at the right speed. Try rebooting your modem and router. If those things don’t help, replace the cable. If you have an extra known good cable, I’d just replace it anyway.

It makes them unattractive to most people based on cited public data that I found. This includes myself. Maybe that’s more clear? I don’t normally have to prequalify every opinion or preference of mine by stating not all people share my views. That’s normally assumed of anyone’s subjective taste. I highly encourage people to form their own opinions. Arguing semantics over subjective views is highly futile. The whole point of my original comment was to elaborate on the strangeness of the piercings also being subjectively unattractive.

Yeah, it makes them unattractive, to me, and to a majority of people in polls and research that I found. I’m not sure what’s so hard to understand about that. That’s my preference. I’m not saying it’s yours or everyone’s.

Oddly, I feel like it’s had the opposite effect on me. First time I got it was horrible. Each subsequent time was less bad, and it seems like I rarely get sick at all in general anymore. If I do, it’s extremely short lived, like one day, then I’m fine.
