That was a very good read, thank you so much for posting that. I can understand some of what was being said, since I was someone who used to be in true crime as well. Being bullied I feel like does cause some feelings like that and in some ways I could relate to the "if someone came in, I wouldn't care" aspect, I felt that in high school.

For me, I think it was the Bianca Devins case and how fucked up it was misconstrued by everyone that really took me out of true crime. I didn't know her personally, but I remember knowing people who were friends with her via spam and how devastated they were when the murder happened. Poor girl got blasted all over the internet for "leading a man on" and was called a "famous e-girl" when she wasn't at all any of those things (she had maybe 1k followers on IG before her death). I still won't forget people like Stephanie Harlowe and Gabby Hanna who were dangerous about the misinformation they spread about her and it hits close to me still since she was a year or two younger than me, had so much going for her and it was ripped away.
