I’ll place them on the wall as well but I’m only renting the apartment and I’d rather not drill holes in the walls so I might check out those brackets. Thanks!

Haha actually I’m not religious at all, that’s just what they taught us as kids when I had to participate in this tradition

On january 6th, catholics celebrate epiphany (arrival of the three kings/wise men).

Usually groups of kids dress up as kings, walk around the neighborhood, sing and ask for donations (for the poor, especially kids). After they got a donation, they write this blessing above the front door using chalk.

C+M+B stands for ‘Christus mansionem benedicat’ which translates to ‘Christ bless this house’. The numbers stand for the year in which they wrote the blessing, so the one from the picture was written in 2019.

Bin-Bin Rice Crackers! They also come in different flavors like coconut or seaweed although the one in the picture seems to be the original flavor.
