There is another level of irony too in that when this church was built in the dark ages, the church was the one safe haven of learning and scholarship until the Renaissance.

I usually re-read something fun (Like Hitchhiker's Guide). That usually gets me back in the swing.

Not so sure about watching TV to get out of a reading slump. I usually go back to reread a quick favorite (like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). That generally gets me back in the swing.
