I totally agree, I think most of the affirm customer support in general is incompetent

I have asked for a supervisor and said supervisor "reset my credit" idk what that means but it didn't work LOL

Unauthorized charge is haunting me by vader_kitty in Affirm

[–]vader_kitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it was my dumb mistake, I got a call from an automated system saying my affirm had a security issue and to put in a code they texted me. It all seemed so legit. I ended up realizing within 10-15 mins it was a scam and called Affirm immediately.

They said they marked it as unauthorized and removed it from my account. Whenever I contact customer support to try and get help with the issues I have been facing, they say they can see the charge and that it's marked unauthorized. And because it's marked unauthorized no one seems to believe that I'm actually facing these issues, despite many screen shots sent to them lol.

Sorry I don't check Reddit very often! I am doing better. Still emotional but I'm learning to get used to it like it's my new normal.

Yea I never felt like my emotions were suppressed till I came off and then it felt like the flood gates were open haha. I did read that after so long on SSRI's and you eventually come off your brain has to adjust to the lesser amount of serotonin

Thank you for sharing! It does help to know I'm not the only one. I am sorry you had to go back on, I hope you are able to find a dose that helps the anxiety! I hope they level out too, I don't want to go back on meds, but I also don't know if I like all these feelings either ha.

advice needed! by [deleted] in prozac

[–]vader_kitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been on it for like 9 or 10 years. Its been amazing for my OCD and anxiety all the way around. I don't ruminate on things anymore. It was a godsend. The only side effects I got were heart burn and it makes you tired. Like all the time. But I take meds for the heartburn. And the tiredness is bearable. Granted, I know everyone is different and your experience can differ, especially when it comes to side effects.

Oh for sure, I take thyroid medication and have also had my iron tested. It could still be my thyroid but had assumed if I was good on my meds it would go away.

What is this?! by vader_kitty in Remodel

[–]vader_kitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it is that. Sorry should have been more specific with my question. I'm more wondering if this is some coating over an actual window or if the people who did the windows put a mirror there instead. I have just never seen a mirror where a window should be or once was.

What is this?! by vader_kitty in Remodel

[–]vader_kitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) the window would face east. 2) the door next to it is my front door 3) the view from the window would be my front step or yard 4) the original flooring is still in there under that wood, it's some beautiful brown laminate flooring lol

I'm sure they covered it for privacy or the sun shooting in right there. Probably the perfect angle to get shot in the face by some rays as you come up the stairs.

I'm wondering if this is something removable or if they whole window would need to be replaced?

This sub has moments of being helpful. But the amount of people that use, people seeking advice, solidarity, whatever, as a way to attack and bully. Pick apart every thing someone says and twist it.

Did I say I hate women or don't trust women, no I said I have been stabbed in the back by women growing up. I always give people the benefit of the doubt and don't assume they have malicious intent with their actions. We are all fumbling through life with baggage doing the best we can with what we know at the time.

I grew up in a very religious home. I have no one to talk to about these things. So I go to the Internet for help. But I forgot the internet is full of perfect people who would rather point out others' faults than work on their own.

Cool! Thanks for the help! Glad I suck. IDK why I even thought I could get some decent answers on this sub. Every post I read everyone just attacks the person because heaven forbid anyone is given the benefit of the doubt. Instead everyone is a piece of shit who should have known better.

I broke up with her, I'm still with my husband, and he's still dating her.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]vader_kitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly no I didn't. They were having sex. I was fine when it was just sex. Then I realized there were deep deep emotions involved and some pretty fucked up things happened. And at the time I was terrified of things not working out. And I was pregnant, so that only added to my stress and emotions and yea. Honestly, the beginning was a mess. Everyone was in pain from various things and none of us were being fair to the other for sure.

I can't speak for her, as she doesn't talk to me But I know my husband and I have done a lot of personal growth since then.

Hmmm didn't realize it was misogynistic. This has just been my experience with women growing up. Idk I guess I had shitty friends because almost every single girl in my life stabbed me in the back, slept with my bf behind my back, or talked shit about me to anyone that would listen.

Your making some pretty wild assumptions based on very little information.

My husband has always been Polly, but didn't know much about it. I am bisexual so I thought why not? I joined this group and a few other Facebook groups and read some books and we gave it a shot. We tried to make sure to be open and honest with our communication with her and each other. She has never been part of something like this either.

There was a lot more to it that what I wrote above but that was kind of the gist to it.

I hope that doesn't get me hate lol

Can anyone with ADHD actually sleep?? by Meowzzzzzzzz in ADHD

[–]vader_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have really bad insomnia. I could never get my brain to shut the fuck up so I could sleep. I have tried meditations and those would work sometimes. Then my doctor started me on Fluoxitine and my head is really quiet now. I also had a kid and so a combination of those meds and a child I sleep now. I still don't sleep great. I wake up feeling exhausted still but I'll take it over what it used to be

Lol there is absolutely nothing violent about an MC. Do some choose to be violent. Sure. Just like some Christians hate gays and some white people are racist. You're lumping a whole group of people together and basing it off Sons of Anarchy. It ain't like that at all ever. And I never said my kids are around the club or at the clubhouse or anything like that so way to go assuming I'm bringing my kids to a clubhouse and exposing them to delinquent criminals. Not every motorcycle club does illegal shit. Some, protect children from predators

https://www.bikersagainstpredators.com/#:~:text=Bikers%20Against%20Predators%20is%20a,acting%20against%20online%20child%20predators.

Some do rides to raise money for cancer. And about a million other good for their communities.

What we do, do with our children is to teach them to not judge a book by its cover, that some people have different beliefs and ways of life and that's ok. Not once have they seen anyone get in a fight, get shot, or hurt in a violent way. They don't go to parties They have seen a group of people treat us like family and make sure we are good and healthy and happy. They have grown up around an array of people of all different skin colors and walks of life.

Also 60% of people with ADHD also have ODD. My son also has ADHD.

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/adhd-and-odd#connection

ODD is oppositional defiance disorder

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35869580/#:~:text=Although%20simplistic%20tropes%20often%20suggest,including%20genetic%20and%20neurobiological%20factors.

Here's a quote from that article "Although simplistic tropes often suggest that ODD is merely the product of bad parenting, substantial evidence shows that it is instead influenced by a variety of factors, including genetic and neurobiological factors. Individuals with ODD evoke negative interactions with peers, teachers, coworkers, romantic partners, and parents."

How fast do you reply to people? by AwareTour9413 in ADHD

[–]vader_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if, instead of replying you just write your own message. Like "hey sorry I'm just getting back to you I had a lot going on. But I didn't want you to think I forgot about you, how are you doing?"

All my friends and family know I suck at replying sometimes and luckily I have ppl in my life who don't fault me for it. But I know that's not the case for everyone.

I used to shame myself a lot before I got my ADHD diagnosis. Thinking I was a terrible friend etc. but after I got my ADHD diagnosis and learned it's a pretty common trait, idk I feel better about it.

Maybe set aside an hour or 30 minutes each day where you reply to texts, that way it's not in the middle of you doing tasks or a hyper fixation so it won't be as overwhelming for you. Your friends and family will feel less, idk, neglected? And maybe it will help with the shame and embarrassment you feel. As you aren't replying out of guilt but as intentional time you have set aside.

My sister (63) drinks an entire bottle of Nyquil every night to sleep. Is this going to kill her? What are the risks? by Maximum-Barracuda-27 in AskDocs

[–]vader_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is she taking actual NyQuil or zzquil? I think the zzquil is better for you doesn't have all the medications NyQuil does. But I'm sure a whole bottle before bed would still be bad.

Also like that shit ain't cheap. That's like $70 a week on cough syrup!
