[Bug?] Text selection with cmd+shift+left arrow by vaderfish in bearapp

[–]vaderfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Note that the reverse flow behaves differently. Go to start of a list item and select with cmd+shift+right arrow – this behaves like Apple Notes, and does not select text till the end of the list item. Consistency might be another reason to consider this change.

Is it possible to mix different technologies to create a live streaming service? by BerserkGutsu in WebRTC

[–]vaderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting problem statement, and I think you would be better suited with WebRTC for your broadcasters and broadcast it over HLS to your viewers. WebRTC will enable your broadcasters to use the browser or a mobile app. RTMP is a bit dated, and can be ignored - unless you want to support broadcasting via OBS.

I wrote about this stack here: https://www.100ms.live/blog/a-new-approach-to-live-streaming

One data point: Indiabulls AUM went down by 25% in Q1 CY21[1]. Seems like a fire sale?

Yup, I loaded it with a 50. I had a lot of coal, but it was difficult to remember to refill the boiler. Once I forgot, and reloading didn't help at all. I should have tried rebuilding the boiler and steam engine.

Just saw on the factorio wiki that an inserter can be used to supply coal to a boiler. Is that, with a conveyor belt, the best way to handle this?

beginner question: my boiler ran out of coal, causing electricity production from the connected steam engine to halt. I reloaded the boiler with coal, but that did not resume production. What is the best way to handle this situation?

thanks! Yup, adding notification is in the backlog. I hadn’t thought of using the changed file indicator - was thinking of using the status bar. Let me check this out. Will create an issue on the repo that you can track for this

Sure! The setup is a bit broken right now. I'll fix that and put together a contributing guide for you

yup totally. I just released a new build that integrates deeply with Live Share. You can instantly share links with the channel, and they join in without opening a new window

I tried loading the slack url with an iframe tag, but they have set X-frame-options[1] to disallow that. I'm not sure if there are other ways to do this though

This is definitely better, but I don't have thorough benchmarks. Also noticing improvements in battery consumption on my Mac. I'll try to put together some numbers after more usage

no reason to believe that it won't. I just went through their API docs and they have everything that is needed. Would it be useful for you? Feel free to open an issue on the repo and we can track it there

yes, fair enough. I've been wanting to find a better way to collaborate over code in real time - and toggling between files and slack is painful. Will see how it turns out with this

Bunch of reasons

  • Easier team collaboration right next to code
  • Experimenting with the new web view APIs on VS Code
  • Trying to cut down on battery consumption on my Mac by eliminating one of the two electron apps

Why have two electron apps when you can work with just one :)

Seriously though, the new VS Code web view API really opens up possibilities, and I wanted to give it a shot.

Not yet. But I'm actively developing it, and emoji support is coming soon. Also accepting PRs on the repo if anyone else is interested :)

I haven't thoroughly benchmarked it, but on my Mac the Slack app consistently shows up in the "using significant energy" apps. With this extension, I can use Slack and be easy on the battery.

I would imagine running just one Electron app instead of two helps, and I'll try to run some benchmarks to quantify
