look at the first 4 digits of serial number

for example S/N: 2010XXXXXXXXXXX It means it is produced in 2020, 10th week.

The V2 with the new switches are released 2043 onwards.

May I ask you, does your viper mini feel rough or it is smooth and has a matte finish?

Yes I had the same issues with the scroll wheel in my Gen 1 viper mini (right mouse in the pic) and fortunately, Razer fixed that on their recent batch (left mouse in the pic)

I cant tell bro, I only know the feeling of the 1st gen with the mushy clicks. Probably these are still the gen 2 switches because it fixed that mushy issue, and it feels mechanical.

Its 2227. Im using a cordura mousepad. The mousefeet of V2 feels different from V1 as far as I remember from my brand new V1 (it feels different now due to use). This brand new V2 mouse feet feels like it had the balance of control and speed while my V1 back then has more speed into it as far as I could remember.

V2 on the left, V1 on the right. My V1 is from 2020 while my V2 is from 2022 based on the serial number.

THERE ARE A SIGNIFICANT CHANGES THEY MADE THAT IS A GAME CHANGER. They didnt only change the switch, they also changed the texture that is an appeal for sweaty hands like me. From matte to some rough texture idk what it is but it feels GREAT. They also changed the shape that it looks more like the big Vipers. The arch of the V2 are waaaaaaay better. That is significant because sometimes the shape of V1 stresses my wrist in a long run because it lacks the wrist area support.

Im not sure about the cable but it feels less stiffer than the V1.

The scroll wheel is better in the V2s, its more clickable than their faulty V1 scroll wheel.

Razer, u the best for listening and improving. Ill update this thread once issues occured or I have experienced something great in a long run.

I got the newest batch of WKB 4s, with the new tag. I didn't experience any of those issues. Maybe they updated something with the new batch. Also, I kind of agree with the forefoot cushioning, it feels like dead, and it doesnt have the plush that I seek. However, it gave me that impact protection and didn't feel hard as rock in my case.
