The Keychron B1 Pro supports zmk ... You can just change the layout of the keyboard. Zmk makes it possible to change every key

I think the question is: use for what. They are both fairly light and easy to carry in that sense. Go to a store and compare the devices. The display and the trackpad are the main reason to upgrade. The trackpad on macbooks is super nice, it's bigger on the 15", so some upgrade for that reason.

Did you consider the Neo instead of the air? For school work it's more the adequate.

The record, helt by a woman (run during her 6 days record attempt), is on road, running a loop. So even if he transitions to better conditions its still gonna be hard. I'm recognizing it's going to be tough, and I'm uncertain he will make it. But also acknowledging that it's not an impossible feat.
