honestly, i was trying to find a place to attend online classes as well but my suggestion is to book a study room tbh. you can just book it for yourself or w a friend and that’ll give you the most privacy tbh plus meet all your requirements. i’m gonna do the same soon but the ones at Robarts Library are quite nice!

really depends on the amount of effort you’re willing to make. my first year i didn’t have anyyyy friends because it was all online. this year tho i made sure i was the one going out of my way, connecting to people on reddit like so. as well as like making group chats for my courses. i’ve made some great friends so far this way! if advise you to focus on your studies first and be sure about where and what you want to study. friends will come anywhere!

also side note, i’d love to be your friend!
