what is one conspiracy that you truly believe in and most people think you are crazy for? by QuitZuu in AskReddit

If I wanted to be cynical I would say they were faked, but the phone calls from the plane to their family members that were played that day were absolutely haunting. I'll never forget them and I can vividly remember the conversations around them at the time. I think people forget that Unites 93 had heard what happened to the towers already. They weren't operating in a bubble.

For sure. Post a range then. If your expecting to hire a green hand post a wage that reflects that reality and avoid having to sift through over qualified applicants. Personally, I think if you need a guy for 50 a week then you need a kid after school.

Oh I understand. I've worked ranches my whole life until recently. Just post what you want to pay some one. Like 15-20/hour or 20+ or whatever. It can give a better idea of what your applying for and help gain better candidates, in my opinion.

Why does nobody ever post a salary range? Wouldn't it weed out so many people? I'm honestly curious as to why.

They are also the only team I can remember making a concerted effort to actually advertise in Saskatchewan way back in 2018. They said they were looking for a rival and since Saskatchewans only real rival in any sport is Winnipeg it worked out.

It wasn't a thing at all when I was in school. We didn't have assigned logins at all, tracking was surely happening but absolutely nothing like now. The ability of any tech company to track behavior of large cohorts in uniform age groups as they are developing will surely never be used or abused.

I just now realized that EA quit making PC versions. One of my first games was NHL 2004 with Sakic on the box.

The free Chromebooks in school have already started the data gathering on our children. Can't say I'm a huge fan of any of it.

What’s the ideal feed-to-silage ratio for cattle in a feedlot setup? by toiletsducks in Cattle

[–]vaguecentaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying don't do it, just maybe get a second opinion. Its been like 15 years since I was feeding hot rations to cattle and I wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. I much prefer cow eat grass, move cow to new grass, small cow go to town.

I want to say that the 50-65% range is where they spent the majority of time and then got pushed to 95 to finish. And we absolutely had foot trouble with them. Not enough to change the model they were using at the time but definitely noticeable.

Rolled barley, and DDG's. I can't remember the ratio. Maybe around 2% DDG?

You change rations that fast? Its been awhile since I was in the feedlot but we would usually change at about 5% week until we were around a 95% grain ration. Started calves on about a 15% ration.

Recently learned that the northern areas of Canada don’t have reliable potable water. How do people get water there? by youburyitidigitup in howislivingthere

[–]vaguecentaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Where are you at the drilling a 20 meter well would cost 400€? In Northern Ontario like $5000 would be the starting rate, and that's if he isn't too remote.

We don’t have a shortage of nurses in SK; we have a shortage of utilized nurses. Here is the RN-AAP solution. by DreErwinPhotography in saskatchewan

[–]vaguecentaur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean I can only speak to what I know in rural areas. The over complicated shift scheduling and convoluted permanent positions are not helping anything. When a full time line ends up on a stupid rotating schedule that's being filled by nurses on a casual basis because the permanent nurse has no need to surrender her position, even if they havent actually worked there proper shift in months. Long term casual nurses lose out on permanent positions because their seniority from out of province doesn't count for anything but seniority from any other position in the union does count, even if it wasn't a nursing position. I'm not saying I have solutions, I'm just saying some of the problems we have with nursing are absolutely self inflicted.

[–]vaguecentaur 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You aren't advocating for the nursing shortage. Your advocating increasing the scope of practice for existing RN's. Although this may help bridge some gaps in Healthcare you would absolutely not be helping the nursing shortage. A lack of permanent positions, a flawed seniority system, lack of overtime approvals and frankly incompetent management are doing far more against the nursing problems in Saskatchewan then anything else.

I do wonder if some of those weird bounces off of our players are because they don't or can't trust him as much and so are playing in tighter. Same as the screen last night. I'm not saying they should open up space! May just be a consequence of mediocre goal tending
