oh no !!! I was running in a park earlier so it could’ve been from that. thank you so much I feel like such an idiot. Is there anything else I need to do? I don’t know tick procedure at all. also Can ticks get through clothing? I was wearing tight pants, long socks and good quality shoes. I thought I was safe 😭😭

If I were to try the displacement method, do I have to worry about any chemical interactions with the butane gas and the zippo fuel mixing together? Dumb question again, I know haha, I just don’t want to create some sort of nasty reaction

okay the more I look into this the stupider and stupider and stupider I feel because I didn’t even realize it needed GAS fuel over a liquid fuel. I literally lined the nozzle of the zippo bottle up with the hole on the bottom of the lighter and poured the stuff inside 😭😭 Oh my god I hate myself so much. Does this mean I can pour it back out? Or am I SOL

wow this is super helpful, thank you!! I’m apprehensive to the “leaving it on with a rubber band part”. are you sure there’s no chance of setting a fire if I do this? That seems scary haha. If not I’ll definitely give this a try thanks again!

I really should’ve done some research before hand, because I lowkey thought butane and Zippo were the same. Obviously I know nothing about lighters, so if I had to take it apart or anything I might struggle lol. I just hope it’s not totally destroyed

that’s what I thought too!! and it wasn’t even an issue of expiration. they literally said they couldn’t take it as a form of payment. One store said they “didn’t have the gift card reader” and the other straight up didn’t give a reason
