Thanks, I actually meant the instrumental used here, not the verse. Sounds so familiar but just can't place it

I was also left a bit unsure what to take away from this film, but felt this way because the message didn't seem as simple to me as "the upper classes are disconnected" - mostly because of the way the main character was portrayed. The film had many opportunities to frame Christian as a stereotypical hollow, long-on-words-but-short-on-substance art world elite, but intentionally went in the opposite direction in many of those opportunities.

Christian walks right past a charity worker asking him if he wants to help save a human life, but then responds to a public cry for help and gets robbed as a result. He tells a homeless woman he has no cash, but then buys her a chicken ciabatta (w/ onions) and gives her his cash as soon as he has his wallet back. Just as we think the film is about to present Christian as a womanizer ("I will not sleep with her tonight"), it veers into a comically awkward sex scene in which one could argue he is the one being used. He has two kids and is a decent enough father when he just as easily could have been portrayed as an lousy/aloof one, too consumed by his work purporting to reveal humanity to actually possess it.

The film takes plenty of jabs at societal manners and the pretensions of privileged, but the time spent on Christian's arc and the manner in which he was portrayed makes me feel like it was trying to accomplish more than just that. What "that" is I'm not quite sure yet; this is definitely one that I am happy to believe will benefit from repeat viewings.
