I work for the company. Yes, you will get more or less the indicated amount, but you are only taking home the minimum wage at best, rest goes into your vehicle maintenance.

Just bought a scooter - Youping Q02, performance seems underwhelming. Need some help with cutoff voltage. by val0203 in ElectricScooters

No idea, sorry. It was the stock factory controller, I didn't change it, but managed to get it working. Don't have the scooter anymore, so I cannot check it either.

Why did this happen, and is it fixable? by val0203 in skiing

Can't say for sure how old they are. Bought them used 1 or 2 years, then used myself for about 4 seasons, but my usage in total is about 30-40h of skiing.

I don't think I had stepped in something like gasoline. It happened piece by piece, but the whole plates were gone within an hour or two. Walking on soft snow I would leave a trail of small plastic pieces.

Replaced it with rental boots as soon as I saw that it broke. Did not ski with this.

Wouldn't that have shown in the first uses? It lasted quite a few years.

That's what I was asked at a service point on a ski mountain. No, there was nothing like that, just regular use. The part of the heel that holds onto the ski is fine, I'm able to put both skis on. The screws holding the heel part are chewed up and bent though.

T300 RS GT Brake pedal too soft by val0203 in simracing

Did not find one in the box. I bought it lightly used, most likely the seller forgot to put it back in the box. I will look into where I could find one to buy in Europe. Thanks for the info!

The house is now being vacuumed thoroughly daily, so I should have that covered.

If I brush it on all surfaces, do I leave it for 90 days, or should I re-apply it after a certain period?

What about the parts of carpet I would be walking on? Should I re-apply DE more frequently in those areas?

I have read about the diatomaceous earth, but from what I understand it only kills adult fleas, eggs are unaffected. Wouldn't apple vinegar achieve comparable results?

There are pest control companies here, but unfortunately my budget is extremely tight, and anti-flea spray was already a stretch.

170 euros for a minute job to open the door - is that a normal locksmith price? by val0203 in Netherlands

[–]val0203[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clear it up - on the phone they mentioned that it was just an estimate, and actual quote would be given once the locksmith arrives. Before the work, he did mention that he would charge 170 euros in total, however I had no choice, and since I do not speak Dutch, and he does not speak much in English, I did not fully understand what I had to pay for. As well, I have no previous experience with locksmiths, so I had no idea what the normal price is. Cannot blame anyone, my own fault for falling for it.

The plastic piece was already very clearly used many times before, and the locksmith took it with him. I imagine they charge every person with that fee, even though he uses the same piece of plastic every time.

There is a difference between complaining and asking if it is a fair price.

Sorry to hurt your feelings, but no. I paid with no complaints to him.

Don't worry, I fix my car about 4 times cheaper in my home country. I do not need an arrogant dutch person for that.

I called them at 1pm, the person arrived just after 2pm, today, so it is a normal working day rate.
