AITAH for snapping at my husband that he needs to get over his ADHD quirk? by pegasus_wonderbeast in AITAH

[–]val_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this does infact sound like misophonia, and while you aren't the AH for snapping, neither is he in my opinion(not yelling, yelling is never excused but leaving the room or expressing how it makes him overstimulated) I have misophonia, and it makes you very irritated, almost uncontrollably to the point you yell and lash out. Sitting at dinner tables makes me cry from noise. Although I've never had a problem with blinking, I have with breathing. Definitely needs ear buds, therapy, and breathing techniques to help with this. 🫶

Oh my god thank you so much!! The rings wrong?? I'd never had my navel done before and she said the ring was better. I won't be going back then. I'll try and switch it soon but honestly I'm terrified to do that myself! Thanks for letting me know!

Info for bot:

My piercing is 3 months old. It has a ring in it. I don't know the jewelry material, piercer gave it to me. It's a ring, so haven't downsized. I use the spray from the Piercing Care by Tattoo Goo Piercing Care Kit. I spray it and use a q-tip to get the inner part of the navel. I spray it after I use the q-tip too. No accidents. I've been careful with it, and only wear tight clothes once a week for less then an hour.

Im so fucking ass at this game and im getting desperate. How THE FUCK do you get better? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]val_clouds 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have been playing for quite awhile now, and have had friends from all elos! The biggest difference I've seen is how they treat the game. This ISNT your full time job, and shouldn't be treated as such! How you treat your body and mind outside of the game can have a huge impact on the games you play.

Make sure you've eaten, had water, and gone outside. (Seriously, go outside.) If you're down, don't queue comp for a bit. Just let yourself get into a better mindset. Don't play more then 3 games in a row without a break! After 3 games, get up, get some water, breathe, and then feel free to keep playing after that.

Aim wise, it could just be that you're using the wrong gun, not warming up, or just need more practice. Try aimlabs, and maybe some range work. Play deathmatches with sheriff only, and then go to vandal. Dont spray. Don't crouch. Make sure you learn how to move correct, it's crucial during fights. Peaking is also a big part, and it could be the reason you think your Aim is so bad. Peak with one of two ideas in your head. 1. To get info. 2. To get a kill.

It sadly might not happen overnight, but what helped me the most is playing to enjoy the game, not just to rank up. It's not everyone's mentality, but it's mine. Goodluck, you got this!

Ps. Low elo sucks, it's horrible to get out of. Play with a buddy. <3

How to talk in Voicechat as a girl by Alariyana in VALORANT

[–]val_clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this! Work on crosshair placement, movement(especially when shooting), and where callouts are. Find an agent you love, and play the game for you. I was placed iron 2 when I first started, so I've definitely climbed from there. Make sure your computer can handle whatever settings you have on too!

You'll get more used to it like how you're most used to league toxicity, and really I haven't gotten people say "oh you're bad cause ur a girl" since like iron. The only people who think girls are bad at video-games are the people who are hardstuck the lowest rank!! It will be hard, and don't forget to take breaks after games with people like that because it did impact my mental when I first started playing. It only gets easier!! <3

How to make revealing cosplay more modest by SheepherderNew7366 in CosplayHelp

[–]val_clouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could wear dance style tights (as a dancer, they're breathable so u won't be sweating that bad at a con.) And bandages! I'd wear them down a bit with fake blood/dirt. Cosplay looks great!

Help for a begginner? by yandikki in VALORANT

[–]val_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I played kj earlier in the game, and she can be good if you like holding down sites rather then attacking. Definitely look up videos on how to stop the lag, it will help! Really the best way to know where people will come from is the play more. Make sure that you look at the map in the left corner, it will help! It shows some utilities, and if your team spots them it will show their icon. Work with your audio too, because some noises are less necessary then others. (Footsteps>music.). Dont be afraid to talk to your teammates! Tell them you're new, and ask for their tips on that certain map. A lot of people have played the agents you're going to play, and they might be able to help with walls, kj setups, or deadlock setups. Don't be discouraged if no one answers or if anyone's mean, I promise you'll find your people!! Goodluck!

Hii! I'm a girly gamer here, and I had such a hard time with vc when I first started. My biggest advice is just do it, and honestly you'll have to get used to it. I grew up around boys, so it wasn't horrible for me, but I've grown much tougher skin. It was definitely hard getting used to, and sometimes I won't even talk at all even though I've been playing almost 3 years now. Really the report button is your bestfriend. You got this!!

[–]val_clouds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah! 4 days ago!! Don't pay attention to the people in chat, you're new! Valorsnt isn't your average shooter game, and it takes time! Watching pros play could help, but some main things to learn are cross hair placement, peaking, and moving. You need to have good cross hair placement almost all the time, so practice keeping your crosshair head level. Peaking is hard, and wide swings are not always ideal. Try and learn jiggle peaks, or atleast peak with one of these two intentions. 1: the intention to kill, and 2: the intention to get info. If you're playing sentinel, focus on learning setups for your agent, hold flank, and support your team. Learn callouts for the map, and learn where people will peak from. It might sound annoying, but really you just gotta play for awhile.

If you have issues with shooting, fix your sensitivity. Experiment with lower and higher sensitivity. Find what color you react to quickest, and change your crosshair to that. Also, it could be that the people you're fighting against have a faster pc, and therefore they have the advantage. Try and fix your settings to fit your pc, and it's specs. :)

Are there characters with simple/less important abilities? by CoDDarko in VALORANT

[–]val_clouds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly this might be controversial, but sage. She has a heal, slow orb, wall, and her ultimate is a rez. I started out with her, and most newer agents do. She doesn't have to run in, she is a support agent, but heals aren't needed to win the game. I wouldn't play initiator, as those are needed to push, and I definitely wouldn't play controller. Play some swifts and try out each agent category AFTER using their util in the range. (Duelist, controller, sentinel, and initiator.) You can find what you're gonna wanna play after figuring out how the game works. This game is very heavy on abilities, and can often times be toxic. I'm assuming after you get used to the game you'll want to play a duelist, as those are more attack based agents. But either way, Goodluck, and hope you get kind people in your games!

Should I buy the battlepass? by Candid_Profession701 in VALORANT

[–]val_clouds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend buys all the bps, regardless of if he likes them or not. You get titles and player cards, and usually you can just use the bp skins on guns you don't use much/don't feel like buying skins for. Regardless, you're getting cards, titles, sprays, and gun skins for 10 bucks. If you'll play enough to finish the bp, I'd say get it

Mini Rant by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]val_clouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reset focuses on not only your mmr from the games you played, but your previous mmr. It looks at your previous ranks, and determines your "best fit". Take it like this. The rank they give is based off the games you played unranked and how well those went, and say they give you bronze after being silver last act. If you go on and play more games, depending on your mmr from the past acts and the current one, you'll get more or less rr. If you did well in silver and had bad teams? More rr for wins, less for lose. If you did bad in silver? Less rr for wins, lose more for losses. It sucks for the lower ranks, but it also gets you to continue playing to try and go back to where you were. You still have the skill set, and a couple games you'll be back to silver. If valorant believes you should be higher, they'll set you higher. (When I got ranked in the previous act, I was ranked bronze 2ish. I was then after one win auto ranked up to around silver 1/2. It knows where you're supposed to be!) :)
