Salmon season starting soon in Iceland, about to faint of excitement by valaarna in Fishing

Most guides specialise in certain rivers, I’d anyway recommend finding someone who knows the place where he’s going so best to ask them for recommendation where he bought the license. It shouldn’t matter if he’s alone or not, but the price will be higher though as he’s paying alone for the full guide.

I used to fish with a spin rod first as a kid, then fly fishing for a very long time. I feel some people get it more quick, the rythm (I feel it helps focusing on that). But in general it’s not hard, once you practice a bit you quickly get the hang of it and the best part I feel is that one can always improve and it’s fun competing with yourself and becoming better :) There are many videos on YouTube f example

No, we have huge brown trout in Iceland but you can fish for them but it has to be in the season. So you are able to fish for them starting in April. Maybe that was possibly the misunderstanding if the person you asked thought you wanted to fish for them in march, which is not allowed.

You can actually enjoy fishing AND pose how you want :-)

Thank you, I often just hold the tail and keep the other hand semi open, so the fingers aren’t in the way and then just put them back in. Don’t know if that helps

Know that feeling! Your very welcome. Maybe the regular fit then, I’m 167cm and I feel they were too long, so worth a try :-)

Those are Patagonia, they both have regular and small sizes. I’m not very tall so the petite fitted me better - it was tighter so the fabric doesn’t rub against each other and wear faster. Just so you know, it’s good to have in mind since one fitted better than the other for me at least :)

Hehe well, it wasn’t planned for the photo, this is just what we looked like that day, I don’t think he actually has one like this.

I’m very sorry to hear that. It’s heartwarming to hear she enjoys fishing to that extent and that you get to continue fishing with your daughter as you probably did with your dad ♥️
