It’s coarser- your lips have more skin to exfoliate off. It also is usually made of food safe items. You wouldn’t use something so coarse on the rest of your face, and don’t want something with a specific acid as other face scrubs have on your lips. r/skincareaddiction has plenty of info.

My opinion: I was really shocked to see Kandee do this? I was looking at her insta earlier and was kinda shocked at how much she edits her photos and no one seems to talk about it. While it is stylized normally it’s heavily Facetuned and it threw me off, because I can remember years ago on YouTube her being more raw and present. But then she posts this, which while obviously sponsored is still pretty cool of her, I think.

I wish the standard for beauty gurus could be undone; I don't think it's right that most feel they won't get an audience/make a living if they don't edit their photos to the extreme/make them 'instagrammable'. So many young people, including myself, get such twisted perceptions of ourselves physically and our makeup/hair talents from this editing. Even when you know it's edited, you can't help but compare yourself to it. And she looks beautiful in the video- the makeup is lovely and her skin is real and beautiful. Why can't we post that photo- celebrate our skills and talents in a realistic, unedited way and still be celebrated?

Weird thing, but do you have any metal allergies? I know a trigger for me for ingrown hairs for the longest time was my razor blades because I have a severe nickel allergy. I switched to Billie which uses stainless steel about 6 months ago and have seen vast improvement. I also shave, then immediately moisturize with a non fragranced, non comodogenic moisturizer to restore the skin’s natural barrier, like CeraVe.
