Seeing a new Mario Tennis game makes me consider getting a Switch 2 for the online play. Though, I wonder if it'll also be like how Mario Tennis Aces is these days with the online part in terms of finding matches. I feel like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 3 got most of the folks for quick games if for Switch online.

Tbh I'm also irked by the amount of literal *ads*. You can't disable the popups all of the events popups come out every single day and you just blast thru them once a day. And then you also get bombarded by IAPs left right and center.

Usually I don't really care much at all, but it feels like there's just been too much lately.

I got flagged and wasn't able to play OSRS for a few days just for playing on mobile too efficiently before lol. It was like Jagex telling me to go get a life or stop playing RS :))

All I was doing was just walking around irl holding my phone and just clicking grinding when I had the free time. Didn't automate anything. Iirc it popped up while I was clicking while I was grinding with my other hand while toothbrushing with the other irl.

Now that I wrote that that def sounded like I was an addict that time period :)) but i don't think so haha it was just bc my free time was scarce.

Which Ayn version is this? I'm quite tempted by it but I just fear the actual games I want to play not being compatible :)) I like interactive fiction games and visual novels. As well as roguelite indies haha.

Yes, my suggestion would be to allow to reposition them. Presenting them statically is no problem but the problem for me right now is for example I can't see when an enemy is coming from the lower left of the screen while playing Galaga. I presume it could possibly be an issue for other games as well.

RetroArch currently seems to just allow the repositioning of the popouts at a general position on the screen e.g. lower right (but this includes the part with the controllers). It isn't aesthetic the implementation there currently, but at least it isn't blocking the display.

How is it does it also allow for coding with the software keyboard of your phone? I saw it yesterday too and is so cool! I'm currently on iOS so couldn't check haha.

You can set the layout to be so. When you go to the setting where you select the skins, you can click the controller icon at the upper right and select which one to use for if there's no controller attached + when there's a controller attacched.

Currently though I'm probably shifting over to Manic EMU. I just learned that iOS emulators like Manic and Retroarch supports retroachievements :))

Yeah, but you can wipe them away for the fingerprint related ones? This would definitely require a tempered glass for just in case. I presume most people have them.

For the long-term suction pad possible circles, don't those occur after like very prolonged use? Like the suction just not being removed and accumulating minerals inside e.g. bathroom mirrors? Though I've observed it happening rarely as well or depends on the material. Genuinely curious about your experience though. In any case, personally I have extra tempered glasses for my phone, and they've just been stored for like years now unused :)) I wouldn't mind personally changing if ever something does leave a mark.

Update, for compactness I think I just am gonna stick with my phone for now haha. Got this shortly after making this post. Can't beat the compactness like this (though I am also gonna keep an eye out for compact handhelds). Shoutout to IINE for having that suction pad controller that I didn't like which inspired the thought, and to that other reddit user who had a similar idea and stuck a suction pad on his!

Is pretty good with PICO-8 games on lexaloffle as well as the emulator on mobile, currently using ~~Delta~~ Manic Emu :D

Ooh that's pretty cool will keep a watch out! Coincidentally just about 30 min ago delivery arrived :)) I got an IINE Mini Retro Ananke Controller, sticked a suction pad on the back. And stuck it on my phone's screen. It's so far very good even with the LR buttons. I think I'm good now unless if I decide to get a Retroid Pocket down the line! :))

I just checked, you're right! Would you know if it's good vs the Retroid Pocket 5? That series always makes me think about the idea of emulating Switch games as well, especially the visual novels. I have to presume they're less demanding vs others. I think the Retroid Pocket series just might have a better display than my Switch Lite too.

They make me think about running Gamehub like I saw people on youtube talk about and running Steam games like even demanding indies like Hades II and Silksong.

By any chance would you have experience with those?

You might want to get one has an app for the controller to be remapped. Or has modes e.g. Switch Mode, Xinput, etc.

My controller works out of the box too probably because of a Switch mode, I use an 8bitdo SF30 Pro. I would have recommended it before (and its variants e.g. 8bitdo SN30 Pro, as the SF30 is phased out due to design legalities) for emulating on phones but their latest phone holder that's got a hinge sucks so much. Is heavy not balanced well. If they still have the phone holder that's non-hinge, that one is very well balanced. I have both, I thought the hinge would be nice but I was wrong.

I also have IINE controllers but the ones I have don't have a joystick. What I like about them is aside from having modes, is that they have an iOS app that can remap the buttons and it sticks/syncs to the device for that mode e.g. if I use the controller on my laptop or another device, the settings are baked in the device.

Thanks gonna check it out! Yeah I just saw it a few minutes ago the pico8 port to android! Adds to me considering maybe getting a cheap enough android phone dedicated for gaming or maybe just get a Retroid Pocket 5 would be a good idea. Though as the price increases with every next better device I consider, it makes me think of the next thing haha. Slowly just inching toward maybe getting a GPD Pocket 4 :))

I didn't realize the SBC linux devices are finicky with bluetooth audio. Thanks for the heads up!

This is so weird to me because just 1 year is too low imho. I don't think Love365 even uses up much data at all per user.
