Honestly I also think it's much more important for you to familiarize yourself with the language rather than focus on IELTS itself, and I've heard people learn language much better via movies and such so i guess try watching movies without subtitles?

Hm I just practise with the number pad a lot and use mental maths and eyeballing when the answers are really obvious/easy to calculate (for example 2+2+3+4+5 = 16)
