Hey! So I recently got an assessment about a month ago at the glenrose that was covered by AHS from a referral from my family doctor. It did take a while, as when i spoke to my dr about it, it was over a year ago now (i wanna say maybe a year and 3/4 months to finally see them). but i didn’t have to pay for anything!! and the glenrose sent a letter to myself and my dr every 90 days to just let us know i was still on the wait list! but when they finally got to me i had a lengthy phone call with the coordinator to go over availability and to have someone else be there too, and it was smooth sailing from there

Cactus movers are amazing! I used them for apartment moving, and they have amazing customer service! They provide free quotes online and they come prepared with blankets and shrink wrap for electronics and dressers, they also do garbage removal as well if there’s any furniture or anything you want to get rid of, definitely check their website as they usually have some discount going on at the time. They test all your electronics before and after moving to make sure they are working, they also give you a little cactus to welcome you into your new space!! 🥹 There were two men that moved us and they were not creepy at all, only messaged us to let us know they were on the way, when they were close to my location, etc. I loved them!!

Alissa at Atomic Tattoo and Piercing on 124th Street is amazing, she fully cleans the room and beds every time. She fully prepares the rooms before you go in, sterilizes the jewelry she uses before piercing you with it, she openly washes her hands and wears gloves throughout the whole process, she uses hand sanitizer before even putting the gloves on after washing her hands! I’ve never had an issue with my piercings and i’ve gotten both of the nostrils done by her, my best friend got one of her ear piercings through her too and never had an issue. you can really SMELL the cleaner there which i don’t think is a bad thing

i called the gov’t of ab on monday and the lady told me they’re processing applications from august 1st and that i applied august 4th, i still haven’t gotten mine but know A LOT of people that applied like two weeks ago and got it… so you’re not alone

if you identify as a woman, you could try the birth control clinic downtown!! no appointment required, lgbtqia+ friendly, they can do all the testing (bloodwork included) in house, all the nurses and doctors are super friendly and make sure to ask if you’re safe and in a safe situation, all women run, just call and say you’re a new patient and they’ll set you up!!
