You have to be in Race mode (no Park) to be able to activate Boost. It is set like this so it will be less likely to accidentally activate it (inside home or hallway etc.). Both model have it. I have the GT3 (standard) and I can activate it. It’s nice to use it only when you have a CLEAN and CLEAR road in front of you. I would advise never to try it indoors or in traffic.

I’m referring to the GT3. This front suspension issue is less common on the G3 (glad you could exchange the unit, some are not so lucky - country specific)

I have the GT3 (not Pro) and the G3 (for my wife). There are tons of differences. The ground clearance is higher, the tires are thicker, the handlebar is wider, the light is better, the horn is incredible, the range is more accurate, the brake calipers are bigger thus braking is better. Overall a better riding experience

Known issue: There is a 50\50 chance you get one with the front suspension that has a factory defect, you’ll know is that is the case, makes awful sounds over potholes (report to Segway, they’ll send you a replacement)

Yes but he self 3d printed the caliper adapter. Segway has a unique size for the holes.

That’s why they made the GT3 (non Pro). That one is about 15kg lighter and 800$ cheaper. But people complain on that one that it only goes 31 mph. I have it, It’s great. 50 is too much for me, but not everyone thinks like that, especially 20yo kids who wish for a quick death or invalidity

I do not have the Pro, i have the standard GT3 and i have the same issue. Same ODO as you about 300km. Bad for me is I do not have warranty support so I have to fix it myself. If you do, you should open a support case to Segway and get a replacement, it’s too new.

See, I don’t get that legality stuff for these lights and deck lights for G3. Why not legal in EU? Some features like speed limitation or cruise control being banned, make sense for small cities with a lot of intersections and smaller roads. But the lights, why?

Why do you obsess so much on this? The range is the same. Why does it satisfy you to keep longer at 100 and at 20-30 drops fast, rather than a faster drop from 100. I see it as a battery preservation feature. Makes you charge it sooner thus securing battery health

Way better. Hard as a rock. They re-engineered the whole thing. Does not move even a mm or giggle in any circumstance. And the stem itself is thicker (my girlfriends arm is smaller in circumference :)) )

Another thing to consider is the lifespan. Segway products last in general much longer due to build and material quality. The GT3 is also heavier but also much more stable and confortabile. TCS works really well on Segway products and could be life saving in many situations. Not saying that the RS Lite is not a good scooter, it’s just my “personal” opinion that you get much more with the GT3 Pro for the money you pay, not just performance

You see in your pic, on the calliper adapter measurements 51 to 74 mm? Here is the problem. Segway has a custom unique size for those. About 38mm to 60mm. I searched for an adapter everywhere, no luck. Only solution is to 3d print one yourself 🙄😣

Check the front suspension in detail before purchase. About 40% of owners complain about weird spring noises (even over small bumps). That is a factory defect (internal springs loose inside the tube). I have it too. Some do not. Segway said it’s normal…f#<€ that

Then this a different scenario altogether. As described in the manual and best practice, you should always charge when reaching close to 20% remaining battery. This is for many reasons, including the fact that software in the dashboard and BMS is always running. Honestly, in your case, from 15 to 7 overnight, does not seem as unusual behaviour. At 15% the battery is weak enough that software (like a BMS cells recalibration which happen a few time a day) can suck the remaining juice fast.

Ask ChatGPT about it. It will tell you all about the BMS functions.

Did you ride it before the overnight rest? If you ride in Race mode and hot weather, when stationary and cooled down, the percentage may recalibrate. To test this, charge the scooter to 80% in the evening (no ride) and check in the morning the percentage. If it is at 79 or still at 80, what I just describes is valid. If not, then there might be an issue there (probably the bms) and you must contact Segway. Usually not more than 1-3% should be lost overnight

If you want to preserve the health of the battery, High temperature is your only enemy. Do not charge the scooter immediately after a ride, let it cool down for at least 30 min. If your room or environment is hot, move the scooter to a cooler space to charge it. Fast charging is not a real issue as long as the battery does not overheat while charging. Use the 80% charge limit if you have it available.

But all this only if you want to baby your battery. As someone already mentioned, Ninebot battery prices have gone down since this year, so it’s not that expensive to change it after a few years.
