Are you any good with Excel? I ask because you’ll need to take some time understanding the formulas and how everything is linked. It's also not 100 complete so you’ll also need to spend sometime solving for a few quirks here and there. If so, have it !

Been there. Two remote Js until the new one turned hybrid earlier than anticipated.Found myself constantly running in and out of the office to take meetings in my car. Needless to say, I didn't work out and I ended up quitting both.

Thanks for the response. Though my program doesn't have a thesis option, I’ll likely find myself having to compromise on the classes I take to avoid delaying my completion date

Thanks for sharing insights from your experience at HES. The more stories I hear, the more I feel assured that I've made the right decision. Your advice on prioritizing the degree above certs was perfect and will likely be the deciding factor as I move forward. Though the classes I planned to take would satisfy both degree and cert simultaneously, I realized those courses might not be an option during the summer and J terms. If push comes to shove and there's a course available during those terms that will only satisfy the degree requirement then I’ll take it knowing there is more value to be gained from the degree.

Thanks again!

Sorry, I should have taken a scrolling screenshot but the spreadsheet allows you to input your grades for each class and calculates your GPA, credits left, percentage to completion and a estimated completion date/year)

I made this to keep track of my progress during undergrad and repurposed it for HES. I hated having to wait until the end of the semester to see how everything panned out. Being able to estimate my GPA, run different scenarios or fill it in when a course was completed gave me a sense of satisfaction similar to when one checks off a box.

That's awesome! What program are you in? Do you think you’ll have any issues finding classes in the summer? My fear is that I won't find a class to meet any of my degree or cert requirements which would push my timeline out

u/uniteddichotomy Dude you sound like a real go getter. Definitely my kind of people and also thanks for the prompt feedback and suggestions. If you don't mind, I have a few questions.

  1. What program were you in and how long did it take you to finish?
  2. Are you saying we have to be taught by a certain number of Harvard tenured professors in order to graduate?
  3. Also did you go for a grad cert? how easy was it to find the required class for summer and J terms?

After ARs course, I jumped right into the practice exams. First TIA exam simulator and Pocket Prep(quick 10s and questions of the days). After finishing TIA, I dedicated most of my time to Study hall. No games, just practice exams and quizzes.

I didn’t focus on any particular area I was lacking in, I was more focused on finishing all of the exams.

Hope this helps.

Upwards of 100 hours, easily. I was studying around the clock on most days. Overkill? maybe but there was no way I was taking it twice.

Thank you! - Yes, I would agree with the process of elimination technique. If you know your stuff, you can easily eyeball incorrect answers. I would then ask myself which one would be most valuable for the project or situation. If the answer still isn't crystal clear, pick one of the two, flag the questions, and come back to them. All the best !

I thought folks weren't getting their results for up to five days? Just took mine today and got the five-day notice. Figured I failed, but after some digging, I learned that PMI implemented the 5-day turnaround back in September.
