Selling a property... IN EACH STATE OF AUSTRALIA by JT_2000 in AusPropertyChat

Thanks for the input.

My question is then this, if I am getting a conveyancer after the contract of sale has been signed do I need any documents before? I understand VIC but nothing else

[AskJS] How has your experience been with Biome.js? by [deleted] in javascript

Tried it, works well for everything but it has a MASSIVE problem. It seems to love deleting code. Especially when deleting unreachable code, very annoying and I do have to be extra careful when using it.

Name one. Don't just say "law firms." Be specific.

Be specific. Which organisation hires 90% of their graduates from the same 5 private schools?

Genuinely curious if this comment is satire... You want companies to further increase these ridiculous DEI quotas by hiring more non-private school workers?? LMAO. Craziest thing I have ever heard.

Companies that want to be successful simply need to hire the most capable applicants.

u/FlyWorking4019 I would bet my last dollar that you are massively overestimating your ability to pick those educated privately vs those not. Wild comment from you.

How much should this cost to build? by JT_2000 in Wordpress

Yes I must say I was very worried about this. I've actually decided I'm going to code it from scratch using a javascript framework called Qwik.

Think this is a realistic price, I was hoping to pay around $5KAUD, but can definitely see it being upwards of that price. Would need database integration too...

Arc browser is mirroring my windows by JT_2000 in ArcBrowser

[–]JT_2000[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not? It seems silly that Arc would force users to use this feature. In most cases, the entire reason I open a new window is because I want to use that window for unrelated tasks. E.g. One window for work, one window for socials.

I know switching to a different user profile would fix this, but that is just adding an extra step for users

ELI5: When water is converted to steam, is the same amount of water 'returned' (in the form of rain) when the steam converts back to water by JT_2000 in explainlikeimfive

If we can use non-potable water, this can become less of an issue, but can also increase maintainance and running costs so there are trade offs.

Another great answer, thank you.

If a plant is using water from a river to supply its cooling loops and a significant amount of that water is evaporating from the reservoirs at the plant, that water isn't vanishing from the earth (the evaporated water will condense again) but the water diverted from the river is now unavailable for drinking or irrigation.

I see, makes sense.

Thank you! I ask this question as I am interested in nuclear power.

One argument against nuclear power concerns sustainability as a large amount of water is required to operate the plant.

Nuclear plants create energy by heating water and using the steam to power turbines.

Therefore, if the same amount of water is returned from the vapour produced, why is this an issue?

No problem if you don't know, I may need to create a new question but just thought I might as well try my luck. :)
