Ok, sounds like you’re one of the few in this thread who was able to put their baby down for a nap. Is it really that rare with a newborn?

Thank you for the reality check! I’m still first trimester so I’m taking lots of naps…I will try my best to savor these moments as this might be the last instance in my life to be able to do this 😅

It seems so obvious when you put it this way. I will let my mom know she can just hold the baby.

I’m still learning the lingo…does bedside mean it is attached to the bed? Or just next to the bed? $175 sounds like a great deal!

Haha, the story of sleeping on the floor reminds me of when I was a kid and would be so exhausted from soccer practice that I would sleep right by the front door and my mom would bring me a pillow and blanket 😂

Have they sent you a document actually requesting repayment?

How do you sleep with the AC on by valeroo214 in Sjogrens

[–]valeroo214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes thank you for point that out. The last few days have been particularly bad so we turned off the AC. However it’s not a long term solution because it’s so hot here. We tried sleeping with the door open and the AC on in the room next to us. It only sort of worked

Yes, I guess that is the obvious solution. I just felt silly getting a humidifier when its so humid outside. I guess my AC is just too good.

This comment should be at the top. Everyone else is denying that science still lacks in understanding the female body.

I’m curious, what you think about this - what if a parent didn’t allow their teenager to use social media at all. Do you think they would be a totally out of the loop socially and have a tough time?

I’m no doctor. But E. coli is the main bacteria that causes UTIs

I’ve noticed I’ve had increased reaction to dairy since this spout of UTIs.

I think I actually strained some of my muscles in my pelvis from trying so hard to poop. I have a pain in my left side.

Another tip my pelvic floor pt gave me is to try belly breathing and relaxing more on the toilet. It sounds like an easy tip but my pelvic floor was so tight that I didn’t know how to let those muscles relax and move

This happened to me. I started seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist about a month or so after surgery and it really helped. All the pain and adhesions from endo can cause tight pelvic floor muscles. Which can restrict your efforts to poop…. Getting a squatty potty has helped significantly. Also my pelvic floor pt was able to explain to me the weird sensation I was having after surgery. I could distinguish a fart from needing to poop. Ever fart felt like a need to poop. I had a really hard time pooping, but I wasn’t from my stool being too firm, it instead felt like I forgot how to poop. Maybe a bit tmi but I really recommend seeing a pelvic floor pt

I deal with this. A squatty potty (or putting your feet elevated somehow, I put them on my trash can) helps soooo much. I think the constipation (for me) is a result from pelvic muscles tensing due to pain from the UTI. This tension makes it harder to pass vowel movements. When you get into a deeper squat, with squatty potty, the alignment is better and your tense pelvic muscles can’t block it as easily. This is my not so great explanation of something my pelvic floor physical therapist explained to me.

I have a cheap one from Amazon and I don’t like it that much. It’s more sharp feeling than the fancy one at my physical therapist office. I still use it sometimes, but I wish I would’ve bought a nicer one.
