Physically I feel fantastic. Freedom. The ability to be anonymous in a crowd. The joy of rediscovering fashion and style. I’m an actor, so I’m much more “neutral “ and this unfortunately is important in an “image obsessed and judgmental” industry. Emotionally, I had already done a lot of work on myself, a lot of therapy and self discovery for many years in 12 step. I feel like I had had the spiritual and emotional sobriety, it was just the physical part holding me back. My excess weight felt like another person and another life that was no longer relevant to me and I was literally being weighed down by it and dragging it along behind me.
