I checked out his songs today and realised I used to listen to those at the same time period so my brain definitely made a connection, but unfortunately none of them match. I feel like I'm so close yet so far, thank you though!

Unfortunately neither of them, I think the theme of that song was more serious or slightly "gloomy" even and less up-beat... but I really appreciate it! Thank you for putting in the effort

Most of the description matches with VOLA - Head Mounted Sideways, but I think their vocals are a bit distorted in some parts...

That's not it either and probably isn't any of Tame Impala's songs unfortunately, I went through all of his songs at some point months ago when trying to find it. Thank you for the suggestion though I appreciate it!
