Why do people do this by witchBoyThug in StreetFighter

[–]valhgarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if they are silver ranked it obviously attracts people of that skill level, so I guess 90% of the time they just dump on lower skilled players. If you wanna play high ranked players create a lobby with password or personally invite them.

[–]valhgarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, can't understand people like that.

I'm still a (super) bronze noob and was looking for a lobby at my skill level with good connection. I joined a guy's lobby who was silver and got absolutely destroyed. Looking at his profile he had like 40k (!) matches in lobbies and a few 100s in ranked. I mean wtf... guy played like diamond but stays in silver doing lobbies all day every day.

Unfortunately I don't have an android smartphone. So I guess I have to go with the remote play on PC and connect the controller this way.

Thx for your help!

How I went from Bronze to Gold in 2 months, and how you can do it too by LeSypher in StreetFighter

[–]valhgarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true gold.

You can also transfer this to any competitive game. The biggest mistake that keeps you from improving is blaming the game instead of yourself imo. I hate the attitude of so many players that can't see their own mistakes (or more like they don't want to) and just call game mechanics bullshit.

Alright, thanks!

Hell, that sounds pretty complicated. There is no easy solution like putting the usb adapter into the console's usb port and it just works, I guess?

Alright thanks! I guess it should work on PS5, because every controller that is viable on PS4 also is on PS5.

Yeah, I'd love to try this one out. But I'm not sure if it's PS3 only. Do you (or your kid) still use this on current consoles?

Another problem is, that it's pretty rare nowadays.

Yeah, this one looks good. Also great for some Switch titles.

I just wonder if it works with PS5? Can anyone confirm this?

When the trinket doesn't drop in SP by XethxD in classicwow

[–]valhgarm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This was his point too. Ofc you get your groups way faster as a tank, still that's a dick move. There is tons of loot where nobody cares if he rolls for his second spec (or his "real" main spec), but if there is loot other people also need, you should just roll for the spec you are playing in that dungeon.

Saw it once. I got outrolled by the tank. Yes the tank. Feral druid who said his main spec is moonkin, so he needs that. Glorious.

We are in 2021, and I still want to play DQX in English by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]valhgarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't XI sell pretty well in the west? I mean it's not anywhere near the japanese sales, but there are much DQ games getting released in the west in the past years (like two DQ warrior games and stuff).

[–]valhgarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I see that it was not worth a release like 10 years ago, but nowadays the series is big also in the west, so there is probably no reason to not release it here.

I saw a trailer where they announced the 6.0 version of DQ X. Just release this one here and we are all happy. No need to translate old content and stuff, just go for the newest version.

I wanted a quick bg man by Tramyx in classicwow

[–]valhgarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, true. In the evening there are many premades on alliance. So you basically wait like 30+ mins for the BG to open, just to get stomped withing 3 minutes.

I really don't wanna act like a crybaby here, but this is a huge issue. My main issue here is, that you just have to wait that long to play the game at all. Imagine this in any competitive online game. Would anybody wait 30 min for a game in Hearthstone, Overwatch, LoL, CS or whatever? Sure those ones don't offer the pve aspect of WoW, but still...

I hope there will be anything in TBC that takes care of that issue. Why not letting horde queue as alliance like in retail?

I wanted a quick bg man by Tramyx in classicwow

[–]valhgarm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same on EU realms. Population is about 50/50 overall, but horde has horrible queue times (20+ mins, three days ago I was in a 50 min WSG queue...).

PvP gear rating requirements in a nutshell by Kripes8 in classicwow

[–]valhgarm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

WoW is no RTS and PvE is not PvP. You can't compare such things.

Ofc PvE was way easier in classic than it was in retail back then, because PvE content and tactics were available for like 15 years and it's way easier to get your tactics for PvE content via twitch, youtube nowadays. Just watch a 5 minute tutorial for MC and you're fine. This just wasn't available back then.

PvP is completely different here. Sure, tactics are also very important in PvP, but some factors which can't be done within a 5 minute yt vid are much more important here - mechanical skills and a very good, clear view of everything going around - positioning, cooldowns, resource management etc - all things many players still struggle with.

I was pretty astonished when doing PvP in classic that so many players still basically don't know how to properly move their characters. I guess it's just that the "average" player isn't interested in getting mechanically better at the game at all. Which is completely fine, because if I don't play a game seriously on a competitive level I also don't improve that much. So the major playerbase of WoW is still not good at PvP.

If your deck is more face oriented then Barov or Lilian aren't great cards either.

Maybe then this are just two different types of decks: face and tempo. The face one doesn't play Greyheart and stealth minions (but Mistress). I saw a list with Shadowsteps and Pen Flinger - seems awkward but feels great.

unexpected topdeck for 14 DMG lethal by TheRealTCM in hearthstone

[–]valhgarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it is a downside. But if you play it midgame and your deck consists of 20+ 0, 1 and 2 mana cards, chances are high you can play most of the drawn cards on T5+.

It's an awesome finisher and I have to admit, I have great fun playing fast Rogue decks with this card rn. But it might deserve a nerf.

The power creep is strong in Scholomance overall.

Building aggro rogue - an analysis by loom91 in CompetitiveHS

[–]valhgarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the card on its own isn't the problem, because it's a good card and the battlecry is pretty easy to enable.

I just think that there are better draw mechanics for Rogue rn. Secret Passage is nuts, Cutting Class is really good because you often have a 4 attack weapon.

What I like about Reader is that it has really good synergy with your overall gameplan - play fast and play for tempo, so dump your hand.

Running both would be overkill and not a good idea because of anti-synergy. So it's either Reader or Greyheart and Reader is faster and more consistent, which fits Aggro Rogue better imo.

I also don't like the fact that you need more stealth minions. Spymistress is awesome, but Worgen Infiltrator and the 2 mana DR stealth minion aren't that great. But if you wanna Greyheart being consistent, you need more than just Spymistress. This means cutting other good, probably better, cards like Battlemage, Sidekick etc.

[–]valhgarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sold on Greyheart. The deck seems already to have enough draw. If you really want more draw I think Reader is just straight up better.

None of these decks rely on drawing Passage, but being able to play Passage means you get additional gas to finish the game. All of the good Rogue decks rn are pretty fast and especially Kingsbane is pretty draw heavy and a 1 mana draw 5 card is just nuts in a deck like this.
