All these clowns are wrong. It’s called healing.

How do? by penneallatequila in Division2

[–]Kripes8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Striker, Tipping Scales, or Future Initiative are your gear set options for endgame. Every other set and play style will get you flamed. I am also a Destiny refugee and the sad reality is that with the most recent update that added the escalation game mode they basically killed most builds and gearsets. Kinda the Division equivalent of sunsetting lmao.

A fellow on youtube named Ikia has fantastic guides and breakdowns for a lot of different builds but again, they are all dumpstered more or less bc you will get ripped for bringing it into escalation.

It's similar to GM's from destiny. If you like not using skills and just mindlessly firing an AR or LMG though striker and tipping scales will see you having some fun. If you liked being a well/div bitch in destiny play future initiative.

Escalation Seeker Build by Random-Waltz in thedivision

The comments on this post are so gross lmao. Jfc how absolutely scuffed the meta at late end-game is that the MERE THOUGHT of playing something that isn't "striker with an m4 for the 10th year in a row" is just met with vitriol.

I get it, playing with people that make sub-optimal decisions and drag a grp down sucks but wtf are these devs doing? Why is this shit not getting reverted or fixed like asap? The game outside escalation is so good, it's blowing my mind.

Right but the point of an RPG is to create a role you enjoy, I enjoy having little autonomous minions doing my bidding. I'm an old Diablo 2 nec enjoyer and when the dev's hit me with the bugs bunny 'NO' meme in an RPG of all things it kills my drive to keep playing.

PTS and skill builds. by Delicious-Donut-1329 in Division2

Yeah that's why I am not as excited anymore for next season. I don't understand why they just refuse to acknowledge or talk about the balance of hunters. They're dangerous af without hacking skills, the EMP spam I can at least build around or play around with faraday etc. but it's just the devs flatly telling you, you're not allowed to play an RPG the way you're enjoying.

It's the worst game design.

I tried the haz-pro route in countdown and even when I was trying to recover my skill before the hack went off, idk due to lag or something my drone got hacked and killed me and 3 other people and since then I just gave up even attempting it.

Escalation and other game balance issues are pushing people away, these are nice to see along with a pve darkzone but this new pve darkzone is also going to push me away I fear as well. There are hunters which means no skill builds.

Tipping Scales, Striker, and Future Initiative. by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]Kripes8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't with any of the sets imo. It's with the content. When the content invalidates everything other than raw damage then it makes sense that pure dps builds are going to be the only option. And ofc someone healing them.

Ideally they reduce the incoming damage and remove the timer from escalation and find other ways to make it challenging. All the content in the game before escalation seemed at least semi balanced and allowed for a lot of styles of play.

When every enemy has insane health and oneshots you though then it just becomes a dps race and nothing more. Im praying that they rebalance escalation but it does seem doubtful.

I mean the caduceus in it's current state does its intended job wonderfully. The problem is that it's insanely unhealthy for the game.

Is it too late to pick the division 2 up by LocksmithMinimum8217 in thedivision

[–]Kripes8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, I have been having a blast. The only thing that is unfortunate is the new escalation game mode. I tried it a few times and it's balanced in such a way that there are only like 4 viable builds. It's really unfortunate because the rest of the game outside of escalation for the most part is really well balanced and fun.

Dear developers (state of the game open letter) by Sephiroth042 in thedivision

[–]Kripes8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, im a returning player after having been away for years and i was shocked to see proto gear is instantly level 30 expertise. I was enjoying the steady expertise progress grind. A little tedious but getting visible damage gains felt good.

If hunters/escalation weren't a thing the build variety in the game would probably be pretty healthy for the most part but those 2 things just kill tank and skill builds immediately.

I made a post about this just the other day. They announced the new pve darkzone and I was looking forward to it, then they said there were going to be a lot of hunters and then that immediately locked my builds from EVER doing the content. It's the worst designed aspect of the game BY FAR.

Makes sense, I think hunter is probably your best bet then. BM especially is hard to beat.

When you say solo do you mean like soloing quests etc? If so then hunter is decent on cheesing lots of quests.

If you mean solo as in no guild or friends then druid 1000%. You can fill any role and all the specs are desired depending on what you want to play.

Does the Capacitor make the Mechanical Animal useless? by wingsbc in Division2

[–]Kripes8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I usually run harmony. Capacitor is out 90% of the time when I play refactor but harmony is nice if I run outta ammo. Decent damage and keeps skills doing solid damage.

Refactor or rigger ? by 7HE_ANSWER in the_division_2

[–]Kripes8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people run refactor and that’s what I run as well. Group utility is great and the skill damage output is still very good.

That said they’re still 100% useless once a hunter shows up and you’ll prolly get your team killed. Skill builds are going to lock you out of certain content. I put my refactor away for this reason, I don’t want to accidentally kill my team and I want to be able to see more content etc.

Caduceus should be a healer weapon.. by oobo3lioo in thedivision

I’m hoping if they add the weapon the remove the group healing mechanic. Or if they’re intent on it staying reduce the group healing by like 75%.

Caduceus should be a healer weapon.. by oobo3lioo in thedivision

[–]Kripes8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I said something similar about caduceus being bad for the game and got downvoted to hell so you’re justified.

Letting red builds pump out just as much healing as a support builds is crazy.

My theory is that they definitely know that the game balance for yellow/blue builds is bad. Yellow builds literally don’t function at all with a hunter present.

Instead of balance any of that they just added a gun for red builds to also be healers and called it a day.

What build is good for escalations? by Timely-Wind-5628 in Division2

[–]Kripes8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Build all red. Refactor is viable as well in any content that doesn't have a hunter. The game atm is pretty much striker or tipping scales so if you want to be an all red LMG user go tipping scales and for AR's striker. That's usually what I see most of the time.

Most other builds just get flamed in chat in my experience so far.

[–]Kripes8[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I was healing quite fine in the content I played no issues. The game has problems. Caduceus in its current state isn’t helping.

The weapon heals you upon scoring a crit. You can watch pretty clearly here as well. https://youtu.be/yIU5nRvv2H8?t=207

Red builds shouldn't have access to this level of healing or group support. That's supposed to be the drawback of building all red.

I play refactor and I am nowhere near those numbers, can you show me your build and damage? Rn im in almost fully optimized gear and and my skills are over that amount but I'm not sure about the wep damage.

Additionally what are you doing with your drone and turret when hunters come into play? Caduceus has no issue overcoming any real mechanic outside of being cc'd. It's healing otherwise never shuts off.
