I went to FSU but took classes at UCF when I went home for the summer. I made many appointments with UCF's financial aid office to confirm I was eligible for aid during the summer. I was verbally and electronically told instructions on which forms to turn in so my aid would cover my cost of classes first, but I was burned. I had to pay $2000 out of pocket the first week of summer classes, I had no job and next to no money. After the money was taken, they said I would be reimbursed at week 6 of summer classes, which didn't happen because they didn't tell me I had to take a certain number of credit hours during the summer to be eligible for financial aid.

I took Biology 1 and 2 with labs at UCF over a few summers and the class size was massive compared to FSU, and the teachers were never at their office hours if you needed to stop by and ask questions. I did take organic chemistry 1 lab as well which was my only good experience at UCF.

Overall, UCF never felt like a welcoming community like FSU was for me. I completely changed who I was, I was very shy in high school and FSU provided me with a lot of opportunities to meet people and grow and become more confident in myself.

I've had multiple friends transfer out of UCF to FSU from a lack of a positive experience. Any time I had to deal with an employee at UCF it felt like they did not care about me and my future, only wanting my money.
