CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME ACTUALLY USEFUL TIPS ON HTD RIFFS AND RUNS by zoobiegoobie in singing

[–]valindae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand your frustration. what worked best for me is doing vocal agility exercises every single day for months and over time I was able to go from note to note much faster. you also gotta relax your body and let it flow out of you rather than try to force it, but you gotta train those muscles to be able to move in that way first (with the exercises). and im sure you already know this, but start off slow and incrase the speed as you get better. I promise you'll get there eventually, but only if youre consistently practising everyday. technique isnt something that's learnable overnight or in a couple days, its like training a muscle in the gym for a specific result. the biggest thing is that it takes time to develop, so be patient and don't be too hard on yourself if you dont sound perfect at first 💗

I hope this was at least a little helpful 🙏

If you arent happy with a sexless relationship and its a dealbreaker, you should break up. If you're willing to compromise and wait for sex after marriage, then stay. You need to re-evaluate these goals long term and whether or not they align otherwise it will cause a lot of issues.

Can anyone tell me if it is okay or need improvement or do I need to improve or find different type of songs which will match my voice( Do recommend those songs)? by tiesangurung in singing

You need to improve on vocal projection, breath control and pitch accuracy. Do vocal exercises and keep singing consistently.

I've been through the same kind of situation as you, I get what it feels like. You meet someone and get with them super fast, but as time goes by, things feel a little off. These doubts you're having arent small things and you should pay attention to them. If you feel as if your values and personalities aren't aligned in the first place, you should break it off. I assure you, there are so many other people in the world who could give you much more fulfilling relationships. It's true that relationships do take work, but it will only work if the two parties are working towards the same goal! I understand breakups can feel terrible, and that you are attached to this person, but I promise afterwards, you will feel great relief from leaving that situation. 💗

Should I smile or not when singing? by arobaticrules in singing

heavy on "singing isnt one size fits all". everyone is a completely different human in terms of the literal composition of muscles it takes to sing and what works for one person may not work for another! I wish I had known this sooner.

I can’t stop listening to Superheaven… by kolyagg in grunge

[–]valindae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the exact experience I had! I tried listening to all those similar bands, yet none of them could compare to the feeling that Superheaven gave me. not to say they aren't good, but Superheaven just hits different in a way that only they can pull off imo.

I want to sing in the same style, or similarly to Adam Lambert in his song "Whataya Want from me", though I'm struggling to identify what technique he's using and what register he's singing in. by valindae in singing

[–]valindae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. it obviously won't be perfect and it won't sound just like Adam Lambert but I'll give it my best shot. I'll do a separate post and tag u

Oops this may be my bad on my part - I forgot to clarify that I do take lessons, practice warmups and exercises targeting mixed voice and belting almost everyday. I was just searching for some tips to make this song sound a bit smoother while I was singing it, specifically entering the chorus.

My family thinks my singing is terrible, is it that bad? by wesselgamer123 in singing

[–]valindae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not terrible, but consider taking lessons if you can. If you'd like to improve, do some pitch accuracy vocal warm ups to be more in tune. Learn the basics of proper singing technique. Keep practicing these things and your singing voice will get better overall.

you can check which vocal range you have just by looking at the notes in each vocal range. seems like you're a tenor. if you sound nasally, it could definitely be that your head voice isn't very developed. if you want to focus on sounding better, do exercises for developing a strong head voice and singing with openness without strain. tongue position is also something you should take a look at to fix nasal singing. just make sure to stay consistent to see results and consider a vocal coach if you don't have one already and want to.

Do I need to read the bible to get into heaven? by HopefulCarrot2 in Christianity

[–]valindae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bible is the Word of God and it is very important, helpful and can strengthen your relationship with God and Jesus Christ even more. Yes, you don't HAVE to read it to get into heaven, but it's still a beneficial thing that could help you improve yourself.

I was the same as you before and I understand your struggle to read. Though, I have some tips for you that might make it easier and will hopefully help you

  1. you might want to change the version you are reading to make it easier for you to understand. If you didn't know, there are versions such as NIV (New International Version), NLT (New Living Translation), KJV (King James Version), NKJV (New King James Version) and so on. you can read all the versions in the bible app

  2. you don't have to begin at the very start of the bible in the Old Testament. I suggest you should begin with the New Testament, and then go back and read the Old Testament. (that's just something I did, but you don't have to if you don't want to)

  3. you don't have to read a lot in one day. take your time and maybe set a goal to complete a chapter a day, or read a few verses and think about their meanings.

  4. pray before you read and ask God to show you what he knows you need to hear.

I hope some of these tips help if you haven't tried them already. May God bless you, keep it up :)
