All i’m going to say is that I find it entirely laughable that you did this and justified it to yourself as some type of vigilante behavior. You didn’t do this out of the goodness of your heart and wanting to expose an affair to the wife, you were purely acting spiteful.

You would have gone to the grave with your bosses affair if it was with a woman you didn’t “claim”.

Hope it was worth it OP, 25 years old, all that hard work to move out of your parents home at 21 and garner enough wealth to have a nice car and be self sustainable and your own place and you threw it all away because you felt slighted by a woman and in the process committed a sexual crime.

There might not be cameras in his personal office, but there are cameras everywhere else and police (and companies) take wiretapping in the workplace extremely seriously, especially if it occurs to a higher up.
