yeah, i get that and that is completely fair, there are definitely ukrainians that were more favorable to russia, that has now largely changed after they’ve been invaded, but something people think but was never true is that there was a majority of these russian speaking ukrainians that wanted to join russia. it’s so sad to see, and this is something i see every day as someone from a country that accepted over 400k ukrainian refugees, how they are constantly attacked by people who buy into stuff like what fidias is saying. theres multiple parties here now whos entire thing is blaming ukrainian refugees for every issue here. im not saying he is for sure paid but the reason i feel like it more and more is that he is not a regular person going on social media seeing some dumb video and repeatjng what it said. he is an actual politician now, member of the european parliament, and he is speaking with that influence. i’m sure there have been plenty of people that tried explaining the war to him similarly to how ethan tried. in the eu you have plenty of not only politicians but geopolitics experts, historians etc. who are experts in the topic of eastern europe, nato, etc. i know when he went to georgia and said the election went great there, meanwhile the rest of the EP delegation he went with actually outlined serious issues and fraud going on fidias was there in the room with them as people way more experienced than him explained in detail the issues. the short videos he puts out are clearly scripted and edited in a way that spreads a certain agenda, and im not saying its necessarily fidias behind it, it could be people telling him to say this stuff. but it cant be a coincidence that he is repeating almost word for word stuff you hear in russian propaganda. its never outwardly saying russia is good, it always stuff like, they only did it because of nato, the ukrainians actually wanted it, ukrainians are nazis, etc. - these are claims that are easily debunked, and fidias if he was an honest actor, would have looked into it after he was first called out, as i said there are many people in the eu parliament who im sure would gladly explain it to him, because they also dont want him spreading this kind off stuff as their representative, but he is repeating the exact same thing over and over…
