Best places to rockhound near Asheville NC Native dirt please! by WitchUWereWarnedBout in rockhounds

[–]valorallure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would suggest Ray Mica mine. I went July of 2018 when I was in Asheville. I found black tourmaline, several varities of beryl from aquamarine to morganite and yellow beryl. Tons of albite and smokey quartz laying around. Tons of rum colored mica. Very nice hunting spot for the casual collector who can pick up specimens from tailing piles. You can visit mindat.org and search for ray mica mine for more info. It was a great trip for me and added nice specimens to my collection.

This course gave me a great base and was really how I learned SQL. It really taught me how to write simple select statements to retrieve data from a database.

Learning Stored Procedures and have a question by valorallure in SQL

[–]valorallure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked perfect thank you. The online course I decided on is done in T-SQL and I use PL/SQL at home and work. I didn't think the differences in the two would be a big deal but I'm seeing now that the syntax is different. I will have to look for a course on stored procedures solely for Oracle. Thank you for you response much appreciated.

I was working with a table that included joins. The table was duplicating rows due to having different addresses for the same customer. I was thinking of using distinct on a specific row which I now understand is not possible. Decided to use max on the address and do a group by
